I'm trying to put a Tigertrack together, but I want the white arms from Sideswipe and the yellow from Sunstreaker. Unfortunately, I can't figure out how the arms are put together... There's a screw in there that you just can't get to on the side panel... What am I missing?

    Thanks
    Chris

Okay, I managed to find my thread again... Is that all you really do? Get a tiny screwdriver and get the screw at an angle? The part you circled has pins, and I'm not willing to screw around with pins... so that part will just have to stay...

    Just checking, and thanks...

What are you trying to get off? Are you trying to swapp Sideswipe's white arms with Sunstreaker's grey ones?

You don't have to angle in a screwdriver at all. The doors just pull off.

The doors just pull off??? It's really that easy? Oy vey... Let me to try...

EDIT: They're not popping off. There's that little screw that seems to be holding the door panel on...

I was doing this swap yesterday. Pain in the butt to pull the pin out for the chest piece, heating the pin with a blowdryer and not melting the thin plastic.

As for the doors, i haven't tried angling a screwdriver yet. I think removing pins'll be easier.

The doors DO just pop off. The screw just holds on a small piece that pulls out from the swivelling-wrist-connector-mount piece.

I did the swap last week, but those pins in the chest do look like too much work, not worth it to me to simply switch a few white parts in the chest that are barely ever visible in either mode.

Since there wasn't some semi-appropriate semi-official name for red Sunstreaker, I've decided to call him "Firecracker". Anybody else have other ideas for a name for him?

Like Edgewise said, that screw doesn't hold the door onto the arm, it merely holds a small cap onto the door, and it's this cap that pops into the arm fixing.

Here's a quick shot of my Sunstreaker with a door removed.

See the black circle on the door? That's all the screw's holding on. And that circular hole on the forearm is what it pops into.

Or you could take a leaf out of Prowl Pants' book - he has characters created for quite a few of the Diaclone-based figs in his Custom Masters. He calls the red ST Hellraiser.
Chris Tordesillas from Iacon City's also created a bio for him on that page.

Don't want to double post, but since it's in different threads.

Roadrager - the red sunstreaker. The engine is on his chest to give him some tough guy botliness. The gun is flipped backwards like iron knuckles. I sharpied his head red.

Sunstreaker is sunstreaker. Need to tilt him all the way.

Sideswipe has his guns on his shoulders. I did the leg mod but it's not very stable.

Tigertracks looks good in white. He's got the supercharger gun. I need to sharpie the orange part on his shoulders black once I find my black one. He's slightly mistransformed as the chest is too high so the head looks low. For those people too lazy to swap out the white/gray part attached to the hood, it does make a difference in look. Tried a different leg look for him. It's more stable and does give you the G1 feel, but no knees (so I guess that makes it even more G1, =D).

P.S. I know i've got a lot of crap in the background. Too lazy to clean it.

Cool. Not sure about the leg mod for Tigertrack, though. Not only does it mean he has no knees, he also has barely any legs, just a shell. Personally, If I were to do something like that, I'd use what would normally be the backs of the legs as the front (with the metallic grey part facing forwards, and the wheels at the back.

I agree, I was just testing it out and it didn't require leg mods, although that's easy.

On another note, turns out road rage was a red tracks repaint so i might need to go with red rumbler.

Well, this is a bit of a zombie thread and all, but I figured it was the best place to ask this question. The right door swivel (the black piece attached to the arm, not the door itself) on my classics sideswipe is pretty loose, and won't stay in position. I've tried looking at how to disassemble it to add a bit of glue, but I'm kind of stuck at the moment. Anyone know how to take that piece off or better yet, tighten it up without disassembling? Thanks!
    Here's a pic for reference.
