I'm trying to fix some floppy Ratbat ears with nail polish, but I can't figure out how to remove them. Considering how famous they are for being easily lost, I can't seem to "lose" them on purpose.

For anyone curious about this, the way that ended up working for me was using a very small screwdriver to gently pry the black metal half of the "tape sandwich" away from the plastic, then pull the ears out with a little force. I thought perhaps there was a part of the base of the ear with a gap, so that if you positioned and pulled they would come right out, but the base of the ear is a solid loop. I think removing his ears simply by pulling really hard would damage the plastic.

The old "thicken a part up with superglue" trick worked out just fine. Now he doesn't look depressed any more.
