I felt a bit disappointed because they just didn't seem to live up to what I'd expect when I hear of an Autobot sub-group called the Wreckers. As Decepticon2020 put it I just expect something a bit more elite than robots who are way too much into NASCAR and who the film says are bungholes.

Of course the Autobots seem a little too good in battle already so perhaps a less elite Wreckers was a good thing.

The Wreckers Were F-ing Awesome. Why? Let Me Tell You:

Leadfoot: Voiced By John DiMaggio witha Cockney Accent and Pretty Dangerous.
Roadbuster: My Favorite Member of the Trio, with a Scottish Accent as a Nood to Scotty from Star Trek.
Topspin: Sure He Did Not talked, but he had a good color Scheme.

    That's Why.

I honestly was pulling for Redneck/Southern voices, they came out cool enough, but more could've been done, of course. I am very happy that they decided to take on Shockwave gladly, and quartering that pilot 'Con, but I wanted to see them go balls out with a LOT more brutality and camera time, I was also slightly disappointed that we didn't get to hear their battlecry, so I did it for them in the theatre.

I could have done without them.
Three generic Autobots that are basicaly the twins that can read. They were pointless characters that seemed to be thrown in more as fan-nods than as actual plot-advancers. Sure, they had the pseudo-badass attitudes some fans were expecting, but I'd have traded them in a heartbeat for a character or two with some real plot value.
In the end, the Wreckers have been en-vogue for awhile with the comics and such, so putting them in the film was an easy way to get more attention.

Given the NASCAR theme of the wreckers and how Cars put Richard Petty in as a voice actor as a nod to NASCAR of the past I was expecting something a bit more Southern.

Of course you know it could have also ended up horribly because if they had hired a Southern sounding voice actor then it likely would have been Larry the Cable Guy, Jeff Foxworthy, and Ron White.

They were awesome. They need a movie to themselves. With Simmons and Wheelie and Brains. Everything about them was great, Roadbuster's accent, Leadfoots jelly-belly, Topspin's "yo dawg we hear you like guns." Their designs were great. Roadbuster is pretty much the only movie Transformer to have perfect proportions to a human. He's more standard than Optimus and Bumblebee. And those alt modes rock.

They were cool. Wouldn't say they were "awesome", but I didn't dislike them, they had their place in the film

My biggest complaint (although a minor one) is that I don't understand why they needed to have generic and stereotypical foreign accents. I guess because Scotty from Star Trek was an engineer and had a Scottish brogue then Bay felt this would resonate with people more than say, a generic NASCAR hick accent? Their foreign accents felt completely off when considering that these characters were meant as cultural cyphers for the average NASCAR red-neck. Perhaps Bay felt he'd feel the hot lashing wrath of public scorn if he decided to do another potentially racist and offensive accent- like the oft hated Twins? Anyway, I guess I'll file this topic under the 'missed opportunity' pile.

Honestly with their designs and look, I think they were planning on redneckish voices, but suddenly realized that after the twins were loathed by many, that stereotype characters might not be a good idea, and opted for Scottish voices instead.
