I can download the music on the SD card, but when I put it in Soundwaves chest he will turn on, but no music plays. After a few seconds he will turn off. Can anyone help?

Just to cover a few basics, you have to use MP3's only (no ogg, aac, flak, or wma), also the bitrate should be 192 or lower (while I haven't tried it for myself others say he will choke on high bitrate mp3's). You also should have the files/folders in the root of the device. Meaning do not bury them 3 or 4 directories deep before you can access the files. For example e:\foo.mp3 or e:\foos - album\foo 1.mp3 not e:\sound\music\artist\number 1 summer jam\summer.mp3

Mine worked well using no folders just straight music files and I usualy encode at 128. Of course his functions just made me want a "real" player so now I have an 80gb Zune and Soundwave is just a toy.
