Adding music ?
TransFormers Lot WheelJack WarPath ThunderCracker DOTM-
html and if you did you can bet I'd avoid it. I find sound on a site annoying.
fishdirt was if i played " modern unicron medley version " instead of touch?
you gotta agree its pretty wicked
or i could go old skool
I don't give a flying flip. If I am going to a site to buy something sound is more discouraging to me. I had been on ebay auctions playing tf music and it looped and would not shut off so I said screw it. If I hear one note I'm looking elsewhere. That's me.
o.k But what if i played the orginal unicron song and you were on a ebaysite looking to buy my unicron....
I think that sinister music would get up pumped up and ready to buy ....
YouTube - Unicron Medley
I think its one of the most wicked songs i have heard ... its awsome... But
I guess everyone like you said has their opinion
All you'd do is drive away potential buyers before they even read the description. I know I'd be embarrased if I was surfing eBay at work and suddenly a song from an 80's cartoon movie started blaring without warning.
You know those pop-up ads that play a recorded message like, "CONGRATULATIONS! YOU WON A FREE ____!" ? That's how annoying eBay listings with music are.
You don't because it's not 1998. Never ever ever add music to your site or auction. Unless you're a musician trying to sell or advertise your stuff and even then never ever ever make it autoplay.
More often than not, having music on a webpage tends to hang the internet browser. And if that happens, you'll bet that people will avoid it the next time they reload the browser.
This is hard to say. I know the one time I got onto one seller's listing and it played a boy band song, I looked elsewhere. Since then, even at home, whenever I hear songs, I look elsewhere. But there may be people out there who won't mind, or...who don't have speakers.
Yup, you should definitely think twice before adding any background music to your auctions. Like the other people who posted in this tread, I get really annoyed by stuff like that on auctions, too.
For that matter every webpage which autoplays any kind of music is kind of obnoxious, except for pages that you explicitly visit in order to listen to music .
I know its only small fry, but eBay might take down any unlicensed/non-creator owned music anyway.
It makes your site seem more like a geocities fanpage than a legitimate business.
No music, because of the many reasons people have given above. Just...no.
