when you finaly got over a 1000 tfs
and when you got you want list down to single digits
I have 310 figures, but I don't think my want list will go down to single digits any time soon.
I had about 3000 or so before i met my wife, sold about 2800 of em and havent looked back
I didn't notice, honestly.
I passed 1,000 sometime around 2001
My want list has never been in single digits since 1986 or so. I suppose I'm past 2,000 Plus now no idea how many really though as I find it to much bother to count the likes of Minicons.
I find it's easy to get a vague guess by averaging out 100 items per year to all years past the mid nineties and adding the years up and then guessing what items you don't have yet and that gives me me about 2,000 or more.
But I still have a lot I would like to get that probably equals another 400 or so. Some of which I don't supposed I will ever get simply because I don't want to pay $500 for a blue Baccus or how much effort I feel like going into buy that 50th Bumblebee repaint.
Nowhere near that number. Hope I never get there honestly.
I have yet to crack 400 and I'll probably never reach that number. Besides the Beast Era and Animated, I really never went collecting mad when it comes to transformers.
My want list always seems to be expanding. Everytime a cool new preorder shows up. And although I haven't counted all my TFs, I'd be amazed if it was anywhere near 1000, even if you count Henkei! Henkei! Rodimus, FansProject TFX-04 Protector Trailer, and TFX-05 Sidearm as three separate Transformers. I'd view them as one, Rodimus Prime, maybe two if I treat his Targetmaster Firebolt as a separate character.
I'm not sure it felt different. I'm also not sure when my want list will reach single digits.
eesh. ive never had more than like 350. i cant imagine having over 1,000 @___@
heck, i just recently sold like half of my TFs too. i probably got around 150 or so and im fine. even now i still feel like i should maybe trim my collection some. its still a lot for me
at one point i had a little over 2,700. i now sit at 135 and dont miss any of them.
well im a wee bit over a 1000 and i couldnt wait to see who its was skybite lol
and i have 5 left on my list
kicker, rid scrouge nightscream towline transmetal blackaracnia
funny thing is ive never brought off ebay
I will never reach that number.
The most I've ever had was around 300 and that was partially because of minicons.
Selling off a bunch now and want to stay near the 200 mark or below. That's more than enough toys for me.
Anything more than what I have (around 400-500 probably, haven't counted in a long time) would be too many IMO. Sure it's nice to look at but I don't see how anyone can appreciate that many individual figures, or even have the room to display them to their fullest.
I actually hope I never get that high...at 318 I'm finding it hard paying attention to all of the figures I have, and living at home also means I just don't have the room!
I stopped counting somewhere around 800. I'm sure over 1000 now but with 90% of it all in storage, I have no idea.
As for my want list- well, that's ever changing. It's mostly just current releases though, there's not many past figures I want to the degree of trying to get. For example, sure I'd love to have Black Zarak but I'm not willing to pay the required amount for him, so I'm ok not owning one.
That's a lot of TFs, personally I have a little over a hundred, and don't plan on going anywhere near 1000. That's just way too much. I already feel like I have to cut down on some of my current ones as of the moment.
First time I ever really counted them I was around 1400, so didn't even notice going over the 1 k mark. I've sold quite a few, bought quite a few and actually now have a goal of getting down to or under 1000. Since probably 1/4 are minicons/ minibots, once I get rid of duplicate molds, should be easy. Want lists I never really think about much. There are figures out there I want but don't actively pursue and most of what I do seem to want is just the newer stuff coming out.
