Can someone enlight me?
Same way the Decepticons knew, I guess.
I would assume that as soon as the TF (Autobot and Decepticon) arrived on Earth and found we had a big data base they could tap into, that being the internet, they immediately scanned through all of it to get as much info as they could about the planet. Any competent infiltrator will try to amass as much intel as possible for a mission. And while scanning the internet the Cybertronian symbols on the photo of the glasses Sam posted on ebay would've jumped right out at them. Since the TF are looking for a Cybertronian artifact, something with Cybertronian symbols would be the best first lead to follow.
Either that or it's all just a plot hole...
Sam: How'd you know about the glasses?
true i just presumed the ebay thing like prime says... but
if they were able to pick out cybertronian symbols from the glasses from a photo on the internet why did they need to find the real pair when they could apparently see it on the screen anyway...
Maybe the photo didn't have clear enough details to read everything.
Really though you could just make up whatever reason you wanted for any of this.
Because...then......there wouldn't have been half of the movie.....
But actually, Prime had to project light through it to make the coordinates appear.
well we know he had to project light through it to see them but he must have seen something on them or else it would have just been a pair of random glasses. i know we need it for the movie and it dont bother me at all its just minor, but it does eem to be a plothole, ah well
still love the movie
Not saying the movie doesn't have plotholes, but this isn't one of them. The markings on the glasses clearly identify it as Cybertronian, but they will only show the coordinates to the cube when Prime projects the light, which means the code on the glasses act as a sort of code that is cracked with light..kind of like invisible ink on paper!
In the scene where Frenzy gets out of Air Force One and enters Barricade, he finds Sam's Ebay profile, with a picture of the glasses. You can clearly see on the laptop some kind of program is running that identifies markings on the glasses. I guess the Autobots found it that way as well (although presumably faster, because Bumblebee was here sooner).
I can dig that explanation
unrelated, thats one of my favourite bits of the movie, when frenzy gets off the plane and runs past the guys covering his face to hide, cracks me up
Yes, I thought that was hilarious as well. It never works for humans, why should it work for a small robot
How do they know about the glasses?
I always figured, nobody expects to see him so nobody notices him.. although if ya watch some bloke in the background is looking right over haha, love it cant wait for the frenzy alike bots attack on sams house
Frenzy found it in the main frame on airforce one when he was hacking the airforce one plane...connection was terminated....he took the information to barricade....optimus prime found out via the psychic friends network about the glasses....
Even better...how did Prime know Capt. Witwitchy activated Megatron's navigation system. He wasn't there to see that happen, and obviously the Capt. had no idea what the hell he had done to get lasers zapped in his eyes. So..... ???
The Autobots would have scanned the internet for any Cybertronian information and seen the glasses themselves. The prequel comics show Bumblebee discovering who Archibald Witwicky was.
In the movie comic prequel, Megatron states the Allspark is "calling Him" ,luring him to Earth.
Megatron must had detected the Allspark's energy signature as he enter Earth's atmosphere and so he Pin-pointed it's resting place ,of course by then his energy levels were too low (as he said in the comic ) and he had to make an emergency landing in the Arctic and the rest is history
Yup, it was his holo-eyes combined with them that made the cooridinates pop out.
Thye knew the location was on the glasses from seeing the symbols on the Ebay page.
