I don’t really understand the whole issue with hiring out automobiles for alternate modes, but I thought they would only use GM/Chevrolet automobiles. And as seen, there were issues with Ferrari over the use of a red Ferrari as Dino’s alternate mode.

Still, if they were able to get two MB cars (the for Que, and the SLS-AMG for Soundwave), it gives confidence that there will be more diverse cars appearing. There could be Lamborghinis, Porsches, Pontiacs, all the vehicles that have been recommended across this thread...

 

I think the main problem with Ferrari is they have exclusive rights with Mattle to produce Ferrari-based toys and models. And I heard Volkswagen didn't give their rights for the Al/Bl line to for Bumblebee.

As for the other I don't know.

 

It bugs me a little why they were able to get an Audi for Sideways but couldn't get a Lambo for Sideswipe.

 

Not that they couldn't get a Lambo. M-Bay just liked the Corvette better.

They didn't get an Audi, it was a modified one, like RUF is to Porsche. Sorry, I don't know the name of it.

I relaly hope we do get to see a larger variety of vehicles in the next trilogy and not just limited to GM/Chevy!

 

Porsche already said they don't want their cars to be war machines, like what Volkswagen said. And pontiacs have been in the movies... Did you forget about Jazz? But it would be great to see more diverse cars.

 

Pontiac is a GM product, and besides Jazz, there were plenty of Pontiacs in the movie. Namely the yellow one that Blackout hacked up in movie 1 when Sam was running with the cube.

Kinda like what they did with Barricade. Ford didn't wanna let them use the name because he was a bad guy, hence, why we got the Saleen model.

 

Actually they couldn't get Porsche or Lamborghini because they are under the wing of VW AG.

Pontiac's have been shut down by the government

 

I honestly don't think that's the reason. the Salleen was always the most Bad-ass of the SL71 Mustang's. Either way it's easily Recognized as A Mustang.
