I don't think he could fit in there. Just look at the following image.
Definitely some cheating going on there, but it may help that the top hatch isn't the only thing that opens, when the original pilot was in it you could see the whole front expand. Maybe he's laying down in it?
I always wondered that, and knew he definitely couldn't fit.....because the pilot was WAY smaller than bee, and he was crammed in there and could barely get out. I kind of just went "Ignore it and just enjoy it for what it is"
Simple, he just folded up his sideview mirrors.
Yes, I was wondering that when I watched it. Maybe Michael Bay is a Doctor Who fan?
It looked pretty cramped, even the original pilot had a hard time getting out.
My answer: not easily.
I thought the Protoforms were bigger than car Autobots...
I think there has to be some transforming involved lol. No way bumblebee could fit his whole self in that thing.
He probably transformed his legs and folded the rest (doors, side mirrors, etc).
LOL. I love this answer.
Here are more pictures to give you an idea of the size of the ship.
On a related note...why, umm, do transforming Decepticons...many of whom transform into things that can fly and all of whom have shown the ability to scan different mechanical objects and shift their transformation into something different anyway, including things that can fly if they feel like it....need little ships to fly around in???
I know plot point wise it was so that Bee and Sam could have something to commandeer and fly up to attack Trump Tower in, but that's kinda weak. You have freaking humans wing suiting around the city all over the place in this movie but yet a Decepticon, no way he needs a ship in order to fly around in. Umm OK.
The Decepticon Jet was obviously way larger than the actual model that was built for the movie set.
I find that ackward considering that the sculpt for Megatron was to scale for TF1.
My thoughts exactly. I noticed how the pilot was really crammed in there, while Bee had enough room for both him and Carly, with plenty of extra room.
Same way clowns fit in clown cars.
I looked at it as an exosuit more than a ship. It "combines" with you.
You win, good sir.
