airachnid is laying on the ground infront of breakdown when he is about to try and kill her. my question is, how did airachnid get the rope of web to trap his hammer in the air at the angle she was at? she was infront of him, not on the side, but the web came from his side

She left a trap for him. The web was already there, and Breakdown caught his hammer in it.

It was a trap. IDK how she actually makes them though. Arcee also fell into one near the end of the episode.

 

I have your answers :3. It was a trap that airachnid set. She led breakdown into a corner where before breakdown got there she shot that stand of web then so when breakdown came in for the kill he'd get stuck. That " Swoocsh " sound was just there to let the viewer no it was airachnid web. So practically it was already there when breakdown got to airachnid it's web and pretty hard to see considering breakdowns one eye. So as he became entangled she took the kill.

 

I thought it was the insecticon protecting Arachnid

 

I just figured it was the Insecticon who trapped him.

 

...I don't think Insecticons can shoot webs. If they could, they would have shown that ability by now.

No, we can hear the sound, when the web comes through, cleaving the air. The Web caught his hammer, not his hammer went to the web.
And it is possible to see: BD raised his arm, and everything was fine, but when his arm had just started the way back to the prey, the web came and caught him.

I do not believe, that Airachnid could calculate that exactly the trajectory of BD arm's way.
But on the other hand, she is a robot, maybe, it is possible for them. And she clowled back - who knows, was she just making a show or wanted him to come closer.

And I doubt, that her web is able to move itself. Or is this ability a reason, why Airachnid catches her contestants so often? But I'd rather think, that it is because her contestants are bigger and slower, unlike agile Arcee.

 

  S**t, you're right! I had always assumed that the web was already there, a trap set up before Breakdown arrived.

TylerMirage, it is hard to notice: when the hammer is caught, is BreakDown a very bit closer to Airachnid, than he was, when he had just raised his arm? Did he manage to bow to Airachnid a bit, and then his hand was caught?

I rest upon the sound: you can hear, how the Web moves a second before the hammer lowers.

 

I was thinking the same way.
When the Insecticon left StarScream and turned to Airachnid, it wasn't a guarantee, that it was her first attempt to rule hte Insecticon's mind.
And it kinda too much, if she was able to tear BreakDown to pieces herself.

 

i figured it was the insectcon as well. Arachnid looks as surprised as anyone, thought she quickly capitalizes on the siuation. Though we may not have seen the insecticons shoot webs yet, theres no reason to think its not possible. Also Breakdown was torn apart and I am not terribly certain that Arachnid would be capable of thatif he only have one arm stuck. He still had his blasters, could have transformed but didnt and the next time we see Arachnid shes being waited on by the insecticon. In my mind that all leads to Breakdown having been ambushed from behind by a third party.

This is going to turn into one of those "Did Han shoot first?" things isnt it?

 

I think it's a question someone should ask the TFP panel.
