I've been re-watching the transformers series starting with G1, Missed G2 I can't find it, BW, RiD, Armada so far and there is something that is truly bothering me.

Why were the transformers never arrested for child endangerment? Have you seen how many times they have got these kids into situations where they can die?

Am I the only one that has thought about this?

    Because they're fictional robots.

Because most TF tales take place in worlds where kids are pretty much allowed to do whatever the hell they want.

Well let's go see, they've saved the world time and time again. Putting as little as 3 kids isn't that bad.

They can't help it if some kid is stupid enough to follow them into battle.

If anything Miko should be charged with robot endangerment.

Yes, I cannot find torrents on reliable sites for the G2 series. Eventually I'll be them all, I have the entire G1 and Beastwars series but I downloaded the rest. However we're not gonna get into that right now..

There is no G2 cartoon. The "G2" cartoon was just the original series, with new intros/outros, and new scene transitions. ie the emblem flip thing in the original.

Also a fictional series...but in the 80's and 90's folks didn't accuse or arrest every person within a few feet of their kids.
It's not like the Autobots were child predators either....at the end of Armada didn't the parents know??, irrc..heck the kids went into space..so not every parent was clueless.

It supposed to be all part of the childhood fantasy..having top secret playmates and go on sensational adventures....and back home in time to do homework. :D

Actually the real reason is that 80s cartoons, at least American ones, suffered under a form of the old Hayes code the Moral Guardians forced on movies from about 1932/33 until the 60s. Which for cartoons meant stuff like heroes couldn't actually strike the villains (or vice versa), villains were not allowed to be shown having any sort of victory period, and any bad thing done to the heroes had to be undone at the end of the episode.

The movie got away with stuff because it was a movie, and no longer subject to either the Hayes code or the tv version of it.

The Transformers could've been arrested for a lot of things once you start looking for them. I bet their alt modes aren't legally licensed or taxed. They won't have passed the driving test. Or gained a pilot's license if they have an air alt mode. Nor I bet do they log a flight plans with human air authorities. They've crossed borders between countries without going through immigration. They carry and discharge unlicensed weapons, sometimes in heavily-populated areas. And that's all just the Autobots.
Essentially. But it's still worth watching at least one episode of G2 just to experience the horror. And probably get a migraine.
