Like the Music Label, ok, they gave us Soundwave which of course should be first, foremost and a given. But what about Blaster (or in this case, Broadcast)? Its the music label for god sake! He should be before ipod convoy!!!

Classics: Ok we got two Decepticon triple changers. Did Hasbro/Takara Tomy forget the Autobots had triple changers too. Besides Springer but he always in either or of his modes. Where's Sandstorm? Broadside? Hell even 2.5 former Tracks!

Energon Combiners: I know its a lil late but ok two Decepticon Combiners but only one Autobot? No Protectobots? No Technobots?

    Riddle me this please

    Cons > Bots

    Simple.

    Soundwave > Blaster

    Nemesis Prime > Optimus Prime

    It all just adds up.

    COnstructicons > Protectobots

    ect.

So in the end, Cons are just better than Bots, so thats why COns get more attention. :D
    (Im mostly kidding, btw)

If it makes you feel any better I think the autobot roster for animated is much larger than Decepticon.

Let's face it evil sells. lol

Sandstorm has a energon recolor copter combiner, but it is a decepticon... Broadside I have no clue if they have the rights to him still, but I fear they could make a Tidal Wave Armada repaint of him...

In terms of music label do you really want an orange Soundwave with autobot logo? lol Universe Blaster.

Yeah this seems to depend on the line. If the line is more for the Japanese audience theres going to be less cons (and more convoys!). The alt/bt line was terrible for the cons. The only reason the MP is currently an exception is because of the seeker mold. RID, Energon, Armada, blah, blah, blah seem to more targeted for the US audience hence the greater con presence.

Did the music line do that well to even warrant another release? Seems like you can find Soundwave for pretty cheap now. I think people were disappointed with the MP3 player aspect. And yet I would support a new Blaster release. heheh

Easy. What is going to sell well and be worth the investment vs. what isn't.

    Soundwave and Convoy=worth it.
    Blaster=/=worth it.
Blaster could just never sell well enough to warrant the remolded door and new head. Where as slap Convoy on something it's money in teh bank.

    Constructicons/Aerialbots/Combaticons=worth it.
    Stunticons/Protectobots/Technobots=/=worth it.
Hasbro has said that construction vehicles, jets, and military hardware sell better than rescue vehicles and fast cars. Futurisitc I can't say if they said anything about that or not. And that making combiners is way expensive and a headache to sell outside a gift set. Add those togehter and you get new Constructicons/Aerialbots/Combaticons and the others get the shaft.

If Autobots are getting the shaft, then how come they outnumber the Decepticons for Classics/Universe? All the Cons get are repaints, and hardly any new molds.

I wasnt referring to the overall number of Autobots vs Decepticons. I was just talking about the obvious predijuce between sub-groups suchs the multi-release of new mold Soundwave (Animated, Music Label, Reissue, Titainum, Cybertron, Universe) vs Blaster (Reissue, Universe). I dunno I just thought it was be simple to have Blaster in the Music Label vs Soundwave.

But to be fair: Ive always been fans of the less popular, more obscure, sometimes hated (Hey Rodimus Prime and Wheelie) Transformers. Like the Technobots and the Protectobots and Blaster. I just get a lil steamed cuz I would really like a new Blaster or Perceptor or Menasor or Insecticons.

I'm hoping for an updated Tracks for Universe. He'd be a no-brainer IMO, since he could be redecoed as one of the Omnibots with a little effort.

Overdrive would be the logical choice, as both characters had a flying car mode. Plus, a Tracks mold repainted in red would be a homage to the red Tracks/Road Rage.
