Ok, I like the Twins SKids and Mudflap but also agree they can be 100 times better.

1. Change their faces

2. Make them more....appropriate.

No dialogue, like Jolt.

 

Just tone down their banter somewhat. Not enough to remove their characterization entirely, but such that it shows that they've grown up and learned after their experience with Devastator.

They honestly had a great thing going in RotF, but it was utterly lost on a great number of people because the movie failed to give them any sort of epilogue.

 

Give 'em more screentime.

 

just have them grow up a bit, IE just like BB did between 1 and 2. Do also remember that the main reason they had them act so immature is to give more clarity that BB is growing up.

Hum, I don't know Star Wars the Clone Wars tried to redeem Jar Jar Binks and he's still annoying so short of almost totally scrapping the characters and starting over I'm not sure how to make good characters out of them.

 

by ignoring them, simple

 

* Have Sam convince them of the merits of organ donation - thus, Bumblebee gets finally gets a working vocabulator implant.

* Have them remain silent because their lawyers have told them to remain so because of an ongoing lawsuit.

* Have them revealed to be Runabout and Runamuck, and that their whole dumb comic relief act was derived from watching the Star Wars movies too many times.

* Make them Optimus Prime's bodyguards and living shields.

Eh, in all seriousness, I can't say I hate the Twins that much. Then again, the one big scene they had in ROTF was the same one where I got up out of the theater and went to the restroom to pee, and I haven't seen the movie since, so I can't judge them either way.

 

What about killing one of them off?

I think we could see a nice, natural shift from the goofy comedy into something a little darker, more serious if Skids or Mudflap were killed off. Whichever one is left behind has to deal with his brother being gone.

Not that that hasn't been done before, but it would help push these characters away from slapstick towards something more mature.

Their voice-boxes are damaged just like Bumblebee and they can only speak in N.W.A. rap excerpts.  

 

More screentime, dialouge, and being more stereotypes! LOL, just kidding.
Send them back to Cybertron!

 

Just put them in the background like Jar Jar if they'll annoy people.

 

I'd rather make awesome characters more awesome. Or introduce new awesome characters. I don't have the patience to wait for writers to redeem the two most infamously terrible elements from the last movie. There's only one movie left.

 

I like them. Keep them the way they are.

 

The twins are fine as they are.

 

Make them Decepticons.

 

The Twins were the least of the problems that ROTF faced. So, just leave them as is. I'm sure they'll mostly be ignored though to highlight newer characters.
