How Can I Tell The Differ Between G1 & Re-Issue?

    I got a G1 Starscream off of E-Bay (85% Complete) but his color scheme doesn't quit look right...

    I'll post a pic later on (When I can find the camera)

    Any ideas?? (Non-Rub Version)

    Non-rub would make it original, if I recall... I know the Hasbro reissues had rubsigns... I don't remember if the Takara ones did or not...

    no ideas until pics are available. Is there a valid link to the closed auction?

    no rubsign means it's either a first release, or the rubsign came off at some point in the toy's life.

    thats vintage, pre-rub. with some odd sticker placement choices.

    I'd be shocked if it was a reissue, since there seems to be some discoloration, and the parts his wings plug into are so messy.

    looking to the trademark stamp is usually the easiest and quickest way. If it says 'Japan' than it is original, if it says 'China' then a reissue.
