Plenty of study and talk with other sports fans will help a great deal but to truly understand it is necessary to participate on some level. Then you will have some idea what it feels like to live a sporting life.
ok but like how many rounds are there in play offs in NHL,and NFl. How many different conferences are there.
This sounds like a storyline for a teen movie, or at least an episode of a sitcom. You want to like sports, then like sports, but no one is going to be able to give you all their knowledge about sports in one post and even if they could, you would never retain it all. It would be like if I asked someone to explain physics in a thread...you just can't do it in one sitting.
Go get a damn book at the library. Or better yet, go play one of the sports you wish to learn more about. You question is so broad that you are going to have to actually watch some of these games, read the paper, go online, and do everything else everyone above me suggested, just to start to learn everything you want to know. fixt
Once again, there is an NFL game on right now. Turn your tv to espn, and watch the Giants vs. the Redskins.
Don't bother. Never cared for a bunch of muscle men throwing a leather ball back and forth. And from what I've seen, the enemy team scores a point and the fans of the opposite team have a heart attack. Stick with something more relaxing, like drawing, painting, gaming etc.
Did you just come out of a life long coma and are looking to gain as much information as possible? Sorta like Johnny 5?? Only without the coma and more metal.
Geez, I don't know, why don't you go on nfl.com or something and look for this info. Seriously, are we supposed to do all the research for you and then spoonfeed it to you? Get your ass off of TFW and start googling that shit, and then turn on ESPN and watch what's going on. If you can't be bothered to look it up, why should we be bothered to tell you?
Do some research, watch some games, play some sports and sports video games. Basically sums up what everyone else has said. But if you're just getting into sports because everyone else is, and not because you're actually interested, then don't bother.
I thought Gretzky was the best player of all time. Well one major difference between the two is that in Basketball, only the last five minutes actual matter. Seriously though, I'm painfully curious as to why someone would instantly "need to know" everything about all sports. I mean, I could understand if you were trying to get into a specific sport and wanted to know more, but wanting all information for all sports, that seems like a bit much. Also, maybe you should detail how much you already know about sports, and at the least limit what you want to know to only a few specific sports and such.
Ah, didn't know that part. I just knew Gretzky had higher numbers or some such. Either way they were both great players
osrry dude i really only want to nkow info about hockey and footbal and basketball does not concern me too much.
