Yup, when I saw the pony from my little ponies, friendship is magic, I couldn't take the information seriously.

But, in lighter notion I do hope the hub is doing better because its not a bad channel, but it can do better to attract more viewer and supporters.

I can't watch the Hub here anyways, and I most likely can't convince my Mom to get an entire damn cable package for a channel with maybe... 4 shows I actually care about?

True, but the crazy thing they do is put the episodes On Demand for FREE! So even if you don't get the HUB channel just wait and watch the eps for free OD!!

Maybe they'll start to put their channel with the other basic cable channels, especially CN, etc. That would help their bottom line in the long run. :2c:

Honestly, last week mother and I discussed whether it was worth having the "choice extra" package from directv.

We decided for an extra $2.00 its not worth to downground to the basic.

if they replace all the baby shows they have with ones from the 90's(maybe), then it would do fine. so far i only switch to it when Transformers: Prime,MLP, and TF:G1 are on.

Just wondering, why don't y'all just just switch to a different cable/satellite provider?

I'm just gonna say it, screw Directv. I'm lucky enough to have switched before the Hub came out.

Interesting article, thanks for the link! He didn't say anything about Prime, which is disappointing, but it's understandable that the $800mil+ movie would be on their minds right now. I'm pleasantly surprised that MLP is doing so well; sounds like it's already a ratings winner in several countries. :thumb

    I really like this part:

It looks like the international rollout is gaining speed!

In some areas (USA) the cable companies make certain they protect their territories, they don't often overlap their services so we get few choices. In most cases it's 1 or 2 cable providers and 1 or 2 Satellite providers. Larger cities probably have many more options, but that's been my experience in the cities I've lived in.

Also, depending on the provider the costs are very different as are the packages. Just have to shop around when existing contracts (if they have one) is up...mine for instance, to lock in special pricing is 2 years...I've used renewal time to negotiate a nice little extra for free, say another tier, movie channels or DVR, that kind of thing. :thumb

#1 get it off of the premium network line and make it regular cable programming thus allowing other countries easier access.
#2 instead of Dugie Howser reruns at night do Married with Children and Newsradio etc.
#3 acquire the rights to air the old "You Can't Do That On Television" reruns.

Not sure if its been said already but if you have this retro block of shows and new shows I would

    1. Air more cartoons like M.A.S.K, C.O.P.S, Silve Hawks, Marshal Bravestar, He-Man, She-Ra, He-Man 200x, Rainbow Bright, Smurfs, Snorks,
    2. Air more of an "adult" line up of shows like Alf, Perfect Strangers, Knight Rider, Different Strokes, Punky Brewster airing on different nights of the week.
    3. Change Saturday Smash-Up and make it like USA's old Cartoon express! from 7-7 straight cartoons on Saturday. A mix of old, new, full episodes, etc.

Issue 22 of the comic made be go back and re-read Megatron Origins, and I noticed this panel... In light of this thread, it gave me a chuckle. I'm going to imagine Hasbro stockholder meetings taking place on ancient Cybertron from now on. :lol

The More Kids are able to watch it, The more fans you get.

Also if it's a smash hit in Japan, then they'll want more.

I agree with getting it on basic cable. In order for me to get that channel, I would literally have to purchase 20 other channels of absolute crap. I know some have similar situations depending on who the service provider is. They need that channel as basic as Disney, Fox Family, etc.
