I got a 3D TV last night and tested it out of DOTM. Very impressive. The 3D was every bit as good as in the theater- if not better.

Anyone else give it a try?

I think it actually might've been better at home than the theater.

I wouldn't mind a 3D TV, but I have enough trouble with my daughter putting the remotes in odd places, never mind 3D glasses...

Don't have the finances to buy a 3D TV, but that's awesome if it's every bit as good as it was in theaters!

It seems better than the theater for me, but then again now I have better seats.

I've got a Panasonic 55ST30. Not the best, but good enough.

I'm going to try and see if I could get the 3DTVs that use passive 3D glasses (the same used in most theaters) as opposed to active-shutter 3D glasses. Most active-shutter glasses are large, heavy, and are WAY too expensive, going into the $100-$200 dollar range.

I watched it Wednesday night and the 3D was amazing - by far the best 3D I've seen at home.

That's what I've been hearing as well, and it looks better at home than at the cinema.

The 3D is damn good. The particle effects in particular are excellent. The sparks and debris literally fly off the screen.

Actually, it's a little VIZIO 32" LCD. The 3D is awesome (depending on content). 3D aside, the normal picture looks great.
It's passive, so the glasses don't need batteries. And the best part- you can bring your Real D glasses home from the theater and use them.

The only reservation I have is the size. Either I get it now- or wait another year when I can get a 37"-42".

I've got a 43" samsung plasma 3D tv, It's pretty great all things considered. It uses the active 3D but DOTM is by far the best live-action blu-ray 3D I own, and i have a pretty nice collection IMO, but the 3D is Fantastic in my opinion. My fiance's gonna sit down and watch it with me tomorrow so i'm curious to get her opinion on the 3D. But anyways its great (in my opinion)

I've got a 55" LG with passive glasses and it was awesome. I preferred it over seeing it in the theatre. Most likely because it was essentially my own personal screen. I caught more details at home than the big screen. Also, I have an articulating wall mount so I can pull it a few feet closer for the movie.

Although, I did have surround sound problems. I was only able to get stereo sound no matter which audio track I used. I suspect it is a hardware problem with my PS3/amp. But since all of my other Blu-Rays work correctly it was really a disappointment.
