Since my nieces and nephews are too old for cartoons now, and lacking kids of my own, I'm pretty much in the dark about how kids are finding Prime.

So to those of you with kids or who know kids, how are they finding the show?

In particular, how are they finding characters like Arcee and Airachnid? I've always been curious how those two would fare with the young boys who make up the show's primary audience.

My nephews (ages 5 and 6) absolutely love the show. They love Bulkhead and Prime the most. Their only interest in Arcee is to ask if she is a girl robot over and over. It is usually their first choice when asked what they want to watch. They seem to not care much about the kids in the show either.

Although I think I play a major part in their interest. They just want to watch it because I do, and I am their primary father figure.

My little brothers love the show, and think Arcee and Airachnid are really cool. Don't think it bothers them that they're girls.

The kids I know, particularly the younger ones, don't find it as 'fun' as they did Animated.

My step son does kinda like it since it's a much higher quality cartoon than some of the 80's cartoons that I'll watch on dvd. But if it's an action cartoon, he greatly prefers the super hero cartoons like Batman:The Brave & The Bold.

I was actualy surprised to find out that my little cousin was watching the show subtitled by himself on Youtube. I think he saw one of the Ads at IGN or something considering he spends a good time on that site.

Other than that nothing because it's not even airing in Brazil yet, but I'm curious about how crappy the dub will be! Animated's dub was particularly painful (they gave Blackarachnia, Slipstream and Flare up MALE voices for some reason. Yeah I don't know either)

I can imagine many of the younger ones getting bored with this to be honest, what with the fact that it's not very bright & flashy.

Then again, my 2 year old cousin watches pretty much all of the garbage on Treehouse (not to mention Family Guy), and when he's not getting distracted by other shit, he's actually able to follow the more story oriented ones instead of just pointing & laughing the way he used to a few months back.

I was in Walmart on Sunday, and this 10 year kid, loves TP.

He said that he "loves all of the transformers".

My younger cousins haven't seen Prime. I asked them if they have, but they haven't. I want them to watch it so I can get their consensus.

My little sister has no real interest in watching the show. She was amazed to hear me describe how much darker it was than Animated though, which she dismissed as "stupid".

"And Starscream just stabs him through the chest?! Energon gushing out?! How is this on a kid's network?!"

For the same reason that assorted garbage is being fed to kids.

... because of the money. :)

One of my nephews is 8, he likes it. I asked him who his favorite character was. He asi dhe had 2, the blue motorcycle and Bulkhead's friend Wheeljack. I loved how he knew Bulkhead and Wheeljack but not Arcee's name :lol .

I tried watching it with my little brother (7 year old) but he doesn't like. Then again he doesn't like watching cartoons in English, the only one so far he could watch that's not dubbed is the new Thundercats...

It would be interesting to find out how kids feel about TF: Prime if it's their first ever TF show (maybe coming to it right off the movies too), or as you say, how it does with them compared to other TF shows they've previously seen.

Oh yeah, I found this particularly funny: my cousin said he liked the show style because it "looked like Assasin's Creed" :lol

I think he's talking about it being CGI or something.

Can't speak for the "dish" systems, but I know the regular cable providers have the HUB in their On Demand line up for FREE!! Usually it's only 3 eps at a time (they had the 5 parter too), but they stay pretty current and everyone who has cable can see the series. As long as adults and kids know that, they can watch TFP.

My provider has Con Job, Crisscross and Metal Attraction On Demand right now...watch as often as you want for FREE! :D
My nephew is 6 and he loves TFPrime, especially Bee and Optimus.
