A friend was telling me that out there exists communities of people that believe Digimon and Pokemon are in fact... real. That out there exists an alternate world with real digital monsters that could one day come and be their partners. How does something like this happen? Is our society really that bad? Our parents really that terrible at raising their kids that children out there think that Pokemon are real and they even discuss breading and marrying them? Has anyone else heard of this? http://z9.invisionfree.com/Pokeclipse/index.php?showforum=1
Wow, I was going to ask what kind of nutjob your friend was...then I clicked that link. I really, really hope the people posting in that board are just keeping some strange joke alive, and that they don't actually believe what they're saying. That's just unhealthy...really, really unhealthy. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to say my prayers to Primus before Hot Rod tucks me in.
There are people who think they're werewolves and vampires, furries, fairies, animals, etc etc. Pokemon isn't that much of a stretch for crazy people these days.
Like they can provide proof. At least it's nothing like God, where we have all the proof we need! ... ... ... Yeah, I probably shouldn't have posted that.
True, it's ridiculous. They're so stupid, they'll be the first bunch of human beings I'll crush as soon as I find my Masterforce bracelets.
While there are probably some 'true believers' in that group, including the primary board admin, most of the posts read like a bunch of people just having goofy fun with the concept. --Moony
Don't worry, Kickback, let me know how being agnostic or an atheistic works out for you. Now, where did I put my Sword of Omens with the damn Eye of Thundera in it so I can read and see through all of this bullschite. Oh, wait, that's right it is over there behind Pandora's Box and near Icarus' Wings. That reminds me, I need to fix those wings when I get a chance.
Oh, there is no rule 10 in the Friends of TFW sub-forum area, but here I would think so. It is in the public forum. But, maybe GD no longer stands for General Discussion, but God be Damned? I sure hope not. Then again, we ARE talking about the site's biggest smartass, Kickback, and not some Pokemon-believing schmuck who just joined yesterday.
