just got a shipment of TFC today. Sideswipe box was listed as normal wear... in reality it had a massive bend crease in the front flap. Hot Rod TM listed as MISB.... box was loose and had 2 pieces of tape on the bottom of the box clearly opened.

anything like this happen to you guys and what did you do to the sellers? Ebay is pretty ruthless when sellers mislead buyers.

As with a lot of things in life, eBay is risky business.

A lot of TFC boxes are double-taped for some reason, fresh from Takara.

I don't even bother anymore. The few times I've tried have mostly been disappointments on ebay.

When I'm unhappy with what I get from a seller, I contact them directly. Venting to others won't get me any customer service, but it feels good sometimes.

That is the reason I don't buy on ebay anymore. When I buy TFs online I come here. In nearly 2 years I've only had one bad transaction.

That's a shame. My Junkion TFW dealings have all been great.

Only time something bad happened to me on Ebay was when an item never arrived. I contacted the seller and he gave me a full refund. Contact the goddamn sellers people, they typically aren't out to rip you off. And if they do, then you can always open a claim.

Not that angry as Ebay and Paypal have a good deal of buyer protection.

I do get angry as hell when I get ripped off on TFW, since we are all supposed to be fellow collectors and therefore, on the same "team."

I wish. We have Scalpers reading these forums, as well as selling here. A prime example is how quickly things disappear when we post on the sighting forum.

I only got burned by Ebay once or twice. There's one time where I failed to read the description correctly, and the other time the seller listed it as MISB when it's opened. He apologized and refunded my money after I sent it back. I prefer to do business with board members for the most part, but if you want it right away Ebay is still a better option imo.

I think I actually hate getting sniped on Ebay more than I do getting ripped off by sellers.

But sniping is an allowed and legal tactic. I don't think its playing dirty either, but that's just me.

i get burned by ebay as much as i do with TFW. ebay - item was opened with box flap creases and double taped. Also go very worn out things that were not described and photos didn't show it. But I got ripped off the most on TFW for high priced items - it's been a 2 for 2 for broken items that were labelled as MISB or MIB. every item i bought under $100 on TFW has been great.
