So I'm trying to win some Seacons here and I notice I'm outbid by someone with no feedback and an obscure TF-themed name. A dirty fighter, if I recall the episode correctly. He didn't beat me until his 4th bid. Brand new profile, less than 30 days old too!

So is it impossible to catch shill bidders and report them to eBay? Bidding up your own auction is dirty pool, Chumley!

You're pretty much out of luck unless the seller is stupid enough to use the same shill account across many of his auctions. Even then, what can you really prove?

If I'm bidding on an auction and someone checks in with a 0 feedback, I immediately check out. There are too many shady people out there to support the possibility of participating with shill bidders.

You can report shill bidders, but this doesn't appear to be one. The seller is in PA while the bidder is in Ontario. I'd say it's just a guy who really wants them Seacons.

Well, he won't get them without a fight. That Octane auction is loopy.

edit: never mind, it's a different photo.

ahh, dbzgage, I never buy stuff from this guy, several reasons:

    1. he buys alot of cheap stuff and resells them, I usually don't buy stuff from such dealers because they mix parts with various conditions. Also, dealers like this usually "repair" the figures.
    2. His auctions usually ends up with pretty high amount of $$. Not sure how the heck he can get that done because most of the items don't even have the "transformers" word in the title.
    3. He snatches the good BIN deals all the time(I saw him do that at least 10-15 times, within the first minute the auction was posted). I have no problem with people trying to get a good deal, but with this guy, he's just going to resell those to get a profit.(Well, I guess that's what TF dealers do)

And coincidentally enough, the winning bidder "ran into major money problems" so now I have been sent a second chance offer. :lol  at my last minute max bid, of course!
