I won a contest promoted by Walmarts all over the USA way back in 2001. The rules: Design a car. The prize: A massive collectors designed box of all 96 cars released in 2001.

As far as I know, and I've looked, I'm probably the only person on Earth who has this. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm not sure if it was just a one contest thing in the US or a contest in every state. But that doesn't matter really, it's value is still the same. There is only either
    1. One in existence
    2. Fifty in existence (If it was one winner per state)

I'm currently at my Uncle's house right now and the set is packed away in my basement at my house. I'll post pictures ASAP.

How much would something this rare be worth?

It's one of those things that if you could get a couple of hardcore Hot Wheels collectors bidding on eBay for, you could really rake it in.

I'd suggest keeping it though, it's one of those one of a kind things that transcends mere monetary value.

Depends on how much hotwheels collectors are willing to pay or if they will just rob you.

Put word out rather than eBay it if you want to part with it, people will find you and make offers if they want it.
If you keep a hold of it this'll happen anyway so you've really not got to make any special effort!

IMO if you're really tight for $ then sell it, if not keep it. I'm not a Hot wheels collector but to have a complete series of a particular series (of a popular toy line) is indeed rare.

Best thing you can do is find the value of each car. Or get a hold of someone at Lee's Toy Reviews ( I believe that is the name of the magazine). Pick up a issue at your bookstore. There has to be something in there to get a hold of someone.

Yeah but these aren't produced anymore, and are all in a case of which 50 exists in the entire world. I'd think it be worth alot of money.
I mean, HotWheels have been around since the 60's-70's right? GI Joes from that age are worth alot of money. My dad had a whole bunch that went off on ebay for a couple hundred each.

There is some minor wear on the box but thats about it. It's like I'm keeping this thing in cryostorage...

Ok it's wrapped up in a blanket and stuffed into a cardboard box filled with styrofoam. That works though.

Don't say anything further about it. Some way, some how, the Hot Wheels collectors will find you. And they will kill you.

    Ebay:
And if they don't, you can find them... at your local Walmart, around midnight, ripping through unpackaged boxes of Hot Wheels on pallets. Telltale signs may include a mullet, sleeveless tshirt, and a molester moustache.

But on topic, that sounds like a pretty rare thing to have. Hop over to the Toyark board and post in their Hot Wheels section... I'll bet you'll get plenty of responses.

Remember, HW collectors are crazy. They'd kill for something like this.
