Now, I might get trolled on for this, but Hot Shot has always been one of my favorite characters. I first got into Transformers when Beast Wars and RID were on, but then stopped. Then Armada came out, and terrible toy aside, I thought Hot Shot was awesome.
So, today, I'm more than happy Hot Shot is getting a figure. That might be the only reason I'll buy that Bumblebee mold. xD
So, am I crazy? Or does anybody else like Hot Shot as much? Say your piece below!

Can't say I care about Hot Shot the character, but I think the Universe Hot Shot toy is very underrated, especially if you have the Henkei weapons (though the Universe one has the better color scheme imo)

I love him. One of my favorite toys is his Cybertron Defense Version.

My son was absolutely crazy about Armada Hot Shot. When I bought Henkei Hot Shot to please him some years later, he still prefered his Micron Legend toy.

That character is always special for us :)

i've never watched armada or anything really from that era- im not familiar with the character.

but i think the colors look really nice on that mold, i hope that they non-photoshopped color is close to that nice rich blue that the promo shots are showing. definetly will be buying it.

since i dont know anything about the original charcter- anyone of you hotshot fans want to tell us what it is you like about the actual character?

Well, I like him because he's a perfect mix of carefree and a warrior. Imagine G1-esque Bumblebee mixed with Hot Rod. And in Armada, I really fell for his character when he took command while Optimus was "dead".

The way the upcoming Hot Shot toy looks, I can't help wondering if he isn't actually more inspired by the RiD Spychanger Hot Shot than he is the Armada character.

Yeah, I get that feel from him too. Or even Cybertron version.

Hot Shot was always my favourite character the moment I watched RID and the Unicron Trilogy. He was a cool Autobot with a knack for speed, a good spark, a good sense of humour (yes, he made me laugh), a sense of justice, and the need to do what he thinks is right in the world. Heck, I even love him for his father/son relationship with Optimus Prime.

So while he might not be used as much like he was in the Unicron Trilogy, he was still an awsome character. He just grows on you, even if he has his emo moments.

AlThOuGh HiS lIfE iS pAiN, he's just an amazing character.

I might not have the toy, but I know he's worth it.

I loved Hot Shot as a kid. He was one of my favorite Autobots (besides Optimus and Jetfire). I loved how he was kinda the kid of the group for a while, like Bumblebee in most series.

I thought Bumblebee from Bayverse was Hot Shot. I saw the commercial and I thought, "Damn, Hot Shot you changed a lot!"

he -is- an homage to the Cybertron version (not sure where you'd get the RiD version from... who himself is a Stepper homage), but that's the same character as the Armada guy, and his head is more inspired by Armada than Cybertron

    :lol

Hot Shot has a special place in my heart because when I first got the Cybertron figure in June of 2005. I Loved it so much that I wanted to collect more Transformers.

The charecter in Cybertron was pretty cool and pretty likeable for a kid appeal charecter. I like how the new Prime version homages the Cybertron version more because he is so much cooler than the Armada version by far.

i like hotshot too. just the right amount of bumblebee and hotrod. the little bot that can. so much untapped potential. weilded the star saber, briefly held the matrix, (BRIEFLY), has gone head to head with the emperor of destruction many times and walked away to see another day.

and you have to admit, the axel-zooka was a pretty sweet upgrade. although the show version of it being a gatling gun ... sweeter still!
