Gettin closer to the end here, Hook's up next. Another figure I actually like, he's pretty detailed and actually fairly resembles a city crane. I usually leave his arms folded down so he's a little longer, but for these pics I went with his intended transformation.

I started with a Krylon Fusion Ultra Flat Black base, then airbrushed several different hues of green and purple. I used the different colors strategically, to create a worn and weathered effect. I also used a little drybrushing here and there, following Frenzy_Rumble's tutorial since I had never done it before. Afterwards, he was coated in Testors Dullcote lacquer and reassembled. Water slide decals were provided by Boggs6ft7.

Thanks man, its actually made up of 3 different layers of green in different shades. The top coat is Sublime Green, the other 2 are custom mixes to make it look brighter or darker in certain areas.

The paint looks great. I understand not wanting to copy what others have done, but I feel like its a missed opportunity not using the head from the RiD set with the smirk. It fits Hooks character perfectly, and even looks almost exactly like his G1 appearance.

Are you having any "rubbing" issues after re-assembly? If you do, how are you taking care of them?

Thanks everyone for the comments, Devy is almost ready, he should be up in the next couple days. As far as rubbing, I did notice some rubbing, but only in the ball joints so far. Its one of those things that you really cant do much about, especially with flat paint. I did sand them down slightly prior to paint, but just enough to make up for the thickness of the paint. Any more than that and the joints would be too loose.
