I was surprised to read that they dont share in any of the movie sales directly.

I hope the EA deal was a good thing because the games EA has been making lately have sucked. Other than that I can't wait till the G.I. Joe movie comes out in 2009.

Indeed, I'm not a huge fan of GI Joe, but I do want to see that movie.

Both TF 2 and G.I. Joe coming in 2009! Uh oh, which convention is going to get the summer and which one will get the fall that year? I was thinking Joe was coming in 2008 and we'd then be alternating every year for the conventions.

Well sounds like Hasbro's taking safe options in what toy lines they back now. Good to hear TFs are hot property for them now.

Well, there goes any hope for a good licensed TF game. EA butchers all licensed games. Lately, all games in general. I'm missing Atari.

Yep, the Electronic Arse thing definitely leaves me cold - just hope a competent dev team with a real love of the property gets put on it. Knowing EA from first-hand experience, however... *shudders*

I seriously doubt EA is going to give the money and time it'll take to make a decent transformers game. They're probably just going to crank out generic games that happen to have TF's in them and tie it to whatever is currently in the media(animated, the next movie, who knows), just to make a quick buck off of it. Like they do with all of their licenses.

So did I, but hearing the rumors about the changes they'll make to G.I.Joe to make it PC on a post-9/11 world, I don't think it'll succeed the same way TFs did.

Talk about deviating from the source material.

But I'll wait to see it before I bash the Joe movie. :p
