CTMA is ok although not many stores these days but walk around to Sino Plaza (Animate in the basement often have a decent stash of MP's and the Hot Toys showroom is a MUST VISIT! - Check which floor as you'll have to take a lift up) and then down the road to Ins Point (near Yau Ma Tei MTR but walking distance from Sino and CTMA).

Ins Point is Transformers/Lego heaven both from a window shopping and "actual" shopping experience. There is also a fair bit of vintage stuff there although most of these places know their worth so don't expect bargain basement prices. Most important thing to remember with Ins Point is don't bother going before 3 pm (and in fact some places don't open until 5 pm).

These pics and details wouldn't be news to the frequent posters of this topic who live in HK, but I wanted to share for the casual visitors who may not be in HK.

These were taken by an Australian fan who is currently in HK for a few weeks, so are not my images.

The Q-Transformers are not news, but they are nice to look at, and you get an idea of how much they cost in HK$.
The Kreo Convertible wave 2 (Shockwave & Hound) is new, as I was told that they were only out about a week ago.

This one is old, but looks nice... and has the HK$ price on it for anyone planning a visit to HK soon and was looking for these.

And signage posted at a toy store in HK advertising the release of Wave 3 Generations mid April (which is apparently April 17th).
Sigh... such a tease. I might have to take a trip to HK soon for all these new toys. (and all the Kreo that Australia isn't getting this year)

Hey Griffin nice to see you in these parts. ;)

Those prices for the Kreo are more expensive than I've been seeing in stores close to where I live on HK Island by HK$10 to HK$20 at least! The QT's have been out for a while but the older ones are now getting harder to find. Those prices are also more expensive than what I've been paying... where were these photos taken?
My son has a few of the QT's and they are fun little toys. However I got Jazz for him the other day and wasn't impressed with the quality as compared to the earlier QT's.

Hehehe, I thought I'd gatecrash your sightings topic. :p

Yeah, the price tags looked to be from a small independent store so I expected that the prices might be higher than a bigger store or a major retailer. I wasn't told which store as he probably thought it wouldn't matter because I'm not over there to be needing to know.
I just figured that I should at least share the pics, because the second wave of Kreo convertibles were news to me, and it might be news to others too.

I like the Q-Transformers too, but mostly for their vehicle mode though. The robot modes are just a little too deformed for my liking.

For those interested in obtaining the sticker sheet here is the signage at Toys R Us Causeway Bay on how to obtain them.

    Offer ends 31st May.
You have to buy 4 CW figures @ $159.90 each. However I was able to get the sheet by buying CW Megs (which works out cheaper) at the CWB store.

Just visited Wan Chai. No new Combiner Wars waves out. And they aren't expecting any new shipments from Hasbro for the next few days at least...

    :(

    Hehe. Cute!

What's Thundercracker like? He's the one I'm most interested in possibly purchasing...

CW Wave 3 finally out on shelves at my "local".

Had a look at Thundercracker but I'm not sold on the face or quality of him... or the price $448. He doesn't look as good as he did in pictures and nowhere near as amazing as Megs. Megs still blows me away how cool he is when I see my son playing & transforming him.

Hot Spot and Cyclonus Voyagers $268
    Deluxes $158
    Legends $99

I'm assuming they'll be $10 to $20 cheaper over in Wan Chai.

Jetfire is a great mold, Thundercracker was kind of shoehorned in. I just wish they'd made more of an effort with the iconic shoulder vents. Everything else I could have made peace with.

But yes, it's ain't a patch on CW Megs.

Hotspot is mightily impressive especially how you get him to torso mode.

The deluxe/legends arrive today for me.

I was in the Megabox store today and they had a whole shelf of then and now dinobot Slug for $179. I'm a sucker for a triceratops but as we already have 5 different versions of slug between my son and I I'm giving this set a miss. ;)

For anyone still after AoE figures Toys R Us has a promotion on their power battlers - buy 2, get 1 free.

Still no Wave 3 Combiner Wars though...
