MMMM fresh lunch.
Oooooh rub it in our face why dont you.
I got your fresh lunch right here!
one of my friends was homeschooled for the majority of her school time.
she's easily one of the best artists I know, but even around me, she's really socially awkward. She's really smart, but really can't carry a conversation too well, and laughs nervously all the time.
does that happen fairly often?
I know homeschooling's a better option for a more focused learning experience, but you gotta admit that being sheltered from interacting with others outside the home would be fairly detrimental to one's social skills.
Trainwreck of a thread incoming...
Car+Gas+License=Fresh food any lunch.
Suffice to say, a former home schooler (who's now a Junior) down the street from me finally decided to make the leap to public education and he has struggled painfully with the social aspect and plans on just getting his GED and quitting all together now. The serious stinting social growth suffers from that form of education is my only problem with the process, and it's a big one at that.

The hell? Who broke Kickback?
Oh, fantastic. This will make expanding the ignore list MUCH easier. Thank you OP!
Y'know, there's probably a masturbation joke in here that I should be making because of this but I won't. I'll just go over there...
You have spelt the title wrong. People who are homeschooled should really spell school and it's variants sKoOl.
I got your pig roast right here!
Must you bring your Saturday nights into this?
What did I start.
i was homeschooled but i am not proud of it nope and nor will i ever homeschool my kids....damn mother
Oh lawdy it's like the Asperger thread - giving it to us on a silver platter.
Homeschooling is pretty lame (if it can be avoided). But Waldorf education is a non-traditional form of schooling that I can dig.
Homeschooling gives you probably a better education and safer environment, but doesn't have the crazy stuff and friends of a real school. And it probably makes you more introverted
Homeschool is not that bad.
And lack of social skill is a non issue with me i have H/s and Regular school friends where I live.
True, you might not get the amount of social skills you might want in homeschool but there's always college.
This won't end well.
