"Freedom Is The Right of All Do-It-Yourselfers" For those not familiar with them, Home Hardware has been a major competitor for Home Depot, and has been around since 1964! This was a commission I did for a VERY patient gentleman and friend from Canada that I met on Facebook. Prime was done with a mix of Krylon fusion paints, hand-painted acrlylics & hand-cut decals. I also cut some aluminum tubing and slid over his limp-noodles to give him some solid-looking smokestacks. Now Prime is crushin' the competition and slashin' prices! :rock  Hope you enjoy.

    Thanks so much! :rock

Given the color, there was just no way around it. :lol  I was thinking the same exact thing while doing the detail on the helmet....I thought of adding some orange somewhere to change it up, but decided it just wouldn't look right.

    Looks good.
I should mention that while we have Home Hardware, there's still probably 15 Home Depot stores here for every 1 Home Hardware!

Thanks for checkin him out y'all! Yep, somebody on Facebook just brought to my attention Canada has plenty of Home Depots, as well as somebody called Rona/Totem and Lowe's gettin some o' the action now too. I had no idea Home Hardware existed out there until about 3 months ago, and they've been around since 1964...  I loved the crossover concept when I was asked to do it. I think Huffer would make a perfect Home Depot crossover! :rock

Looks pretty sweet! I guess the economic downturn has even affected the Autobots if Prime has to go get a job:lol

he rams into the competition's trucks screaming GIMME YOUR TIMBER!! ripping the wood out of the back.

Afterward Prime stands majestically in front of the stores speakers to his side softly playing instrument movie music, be begins transmitting dramatically:
"When your tools are broke and you cannot repair your house, here is a store you can call home. You can shop among our helpful people, good prices in plain sight. I have witnessed your capacity for creativity, clearly more than meets the eye. I am Optimus Prime and I send this message to all the Do it yourselfers and Contractors: Home Hardware is here, we are waiting."
