Thanks guys, I'm taking a break for a second, and seeing as Harry Potter has been confiscated from me I thought I'd give you guys an update. I'm getting worried now, only around 5 hours to go, I just dropped of the rental car at the Reception Hotel (cuz I'll be in no fit state to drive later) and its weird seeing the activity there, setting up for the reception. Just learned a simple greek dance which I will have to do at the reception along with a bunch of other people, (kinda late but what the hey) but yeah, closer to the time the more nervous I'm getting. I just hope the Church isn't too hot, its cooler today than its been all week, where we've hit 45 degrees C, but it still might be too warm later on. 5 hours to go. Last chance to be single... where's a stripclub when I need one?
Well its all done now... its now officially Mr and Mrs Tang! The wedding itself was a lovely Greek Orthodox affair, which was a bit of a pain to get done. There was a lot of resistance from the local Priest, who had a few different obstacles and he also actually said 'I don't marry Chinese'. But we went over his head, using a Priest who is in the family to go directly to the local Bishop, and I think the bishop married us along with another friend who is a Priest in France who came over especially for our wedding as well! But it was stressful for a while. The wedding itself went off pretty much without a hitch, I enjoyed my five minutes of attention from everyone until the Bride came. Apparently everyone turned around at the same time to look at her and I was forgotten... But I didn't notice this because I was staring as well, apparently my face was a picture. Just before the ceremony finished the priests were getting shifty, and there was lots of movement from the Greek side of the family... why? Well we were about to be pelted with rice in the Church by everyone gathered. Lets just say I was picking rice from my hair hours later. The Reception also went off without a hitch, everyone wanted us to go do different things, but in the end I pulled rank a few times, just to keep things moving. We had Cretan dancers, we had to do Greek dances lots of food (which we didn't eat enough of ) and lots of wine. Absolutely perfect. I'll post pictures when I get back, obviously I didn't take any myself and I have to go through what everyone else took. And all the way through I had a little Movie Legends Optimus Prime in my jacket pocket. Wouldn't have felt quite right without him.
