    thread title is a Simpson's Treehouse of Horror reference, I didn't take a stroke.

    Now then NATE GREY RETURNS!!!

    DARK X-MEN #3 (of 5)
    Written by PAUL CORNELL
    Penciled by LEONARD KIRK
    Cover by SIMONE BIANCHI
    Nate Grey, a.k.a., X-Man is back and he is not happy with the state of affairs in the Marvel Universe. So he goes straight to the man responsible—Norman Osborn—and it’s not for a nice chat. It’s X-Man vs. the Dark Avengers and Dark X-Men. Can this Omega class mutant survive this matchup? Find out here!
    32 PGS./Rated T+ ...$3.99

    Mind = Blown.

    I'm aware this thread will quickly fade to obscurity but NATE GREY! Man, now if only Ben Reilly can come back too.

    I just hope he's Nate Grey pre=-Counter X and he wears his origin uniform. Anything else is pretty much pass for me.

    On a wider note, the whole X-verse needs some serious retooling. For the most part, it has gone to shite.

    Ja. I remember when Marvel talked about him joining Exiles with Blink and they even showed some sketches in an issue of X-Men unlimited.

    I thought it was the perfect place for the character since he had unfortunately lost all relevance in the 616 when he started fighting killer gnomes.

    Instead he became a shaman who traveled dimensions and died fighting aliens. Or something.

    Actually the current arc of ASM has flashbacks of Ben Reilly and in current time, Kaine appears. There is also a Clone Saga book out telling the story as "originally intended"

    Yeah, that was pretty lame they didn't put him in Exiles. Honestly, I thought the best place for him was to be an actual X-Man. He works better as a cast member than in his own solo title. Remember when he joined the first Astonishing X-Men team, that was pretty awesome.

    I recall hearing that if the clone saga books do well enough, Ben might come back.

    Mutant Shaman X-Man was the best thing to happen to the book, IMO - it was pretty boring before that. Counter-X was awful, though - X-Man was the only good thing to come from it.
