I went by the same tutorial I used when I made the mod to my MP Skywarp. This time, I decided to finish the team by doing the same to my custom Sunstorm and Thundercracker (which is a repainted Starscream, from before Thundercracker was officially released). EDIT: The Sunstorm I got from Ebay about a year or so ago, the Thundercracker is courtesy of somebody that's no longer a member here and I think we're not supposed to mention said-person's name. Yet somewhere in the back of my mind was Redline saying he did his mod in 45 minutes. So, idiot that I am, I think "Hey, I've got this down, I can do it in a flash". My poor left hand: A 1/4 inch deep slash of my ring finger, a poke at the base of my thumb, another slash of my index finger and the coup de'grace: A full-blown stabbing between my knuckles that punctured a vein and left me running for the sink while I was squirting all over the place. Moral of the story: Patience is truly a virtue (and painless to boot)
Nice work, and the bots turned out well also. But seriously, I was mending a fileted middle finger just a few weeks ago. I split that sucker clean down the middle, back to the bone at the tip. Fun times, fun times.
Well pain aside, at least you got them done....(bad joke) they look great! And I hope the hand gets better soon. Mac
Yeah, Im much more careful now as I went to the emergency room 2 years ago for the same thing almost. Only difference is I was cutting out warhammer model pieces with a hobby knife on my bed and was impatient. couldnt wait for the dining room table to be clear. Now im pretty careful. They look great. Good job!
oh man that sucks, you should sue redline now lolol. my finger's finally getting feeling back in it, almost 2 weeks after the injury...
The worst thing (or best, depending on your point of view) was that my wife got pissed that I kept working on them even after I kept pulling a Freddy Kreuger on myself and she threw away my x-acto knife, lol. Thankfully, by that time, I just had to insert the screws in the leg and I was done.
oh man, how could I feel any worse today?? ....did you get one done in 45 minutes? (trying to determine if I can at least say you did it!)
Don't feel bad. Let's see... - if you subtract the time I spent running for the first aid kit - only count the actual time I was "working" on it, because I could only use the dremel during commercials of "American Idol" (so my wife couldn't get any more pissed than she already was) Then...I did it in 44 minutes.
I'm guilty, I watch it with the family. it's about the only show we can all watch and sorta enjoy. It's pretty terrible though. I've been hoping since the start that Adam Labert doesn't win. Why am I talking about this? ...
