His (the thread starter) "other threads" being mentioned a few times, looks like there are more interesting threads there.
I am very sorry that someone's so self conscious about their hobby (unless they are teenagers maybe, but the guy says he's 36...).

I have never had a cashier commenting on my purchase before :)

The only thing that limits my buying of stuff is how much I'm willing to spend and how much I'm able to carry. I also make a note of trying to get in the hot chick's register cause the only thing better then getting a buncha new toys is a good lookin woman. :thumb

I glanced through his other threads and its more and more obvious hes a troll. He could be 12. The way they tear into him is worth the click alone, lol.

Almost every cashier I go to with toys makes some comment. The usual is, "I remember these." Occassionally I get, "Some little boy is going to be happy."

My response? "Yeah, this little boy." And point to myself. Why the heck would I care what the cashier thinks?

Granted, I'm on board with Target cashiers being delectably hot, and way too young for me to be legally allowed to notice.

I know what you mean.To bad the "i keep getting older and they stay the same age" theory doesn't apply.

I always make it a point to go to the hottest cashier. You just never know, that cashier could be a TF/joe/SW fan.

Not a problem for me because my Target only has large middle aged women working the registers.

thanks for this post--had a great time reading through those. I didn't think that guy was a troll until he started bragging about having a 5.5 inch [censored] er, lightsaber.

anyway, those [censored] losers play with toys that don't even [censored] transform. [censored]!

I liked the post where someone asked him if he actually WAS fat and lived in his parent's basement, the very thing he was worried the cashiers would think of him.

He didn't deny it at all and just asked them if they wanted to talk in PMs.

    Sad.

99% certain that the OP in that thread was winding everyone up.

Tell tale sign is claiming low self esteem and then bragging about a 5.5" knob.

No diggity. All the guy did was post what he thought would be funny story and the whole community jumped all over him. I love the one quote where the guy tells him to stop posting all together... Elitest Attitude ??? Not from that guy!

I think that this is more part of the problem:

But in all honesty I have to say that I have asked for a gift receipt when purchasing some figures, not sure why but I feel a little sheepish buying something’s.

I've only had one cashier ask me if I was buying toys for someone other than me... he asked if it was for my nephew... Just told him "Nope, I'm a collector." Course, he wasn't a hot girl, but... meh. Whatever. I'm sure stores get creepier types than guys buying toys.

Girls buying toys, of course, is just hot. :confused2

This is why you should never ask questions you don't want the answers to. I'm not sure what his motives were, but when you ask something like that you can almost see the flames coming. Obviously the guy's got some self-esteem issues, but I don't get why he thought bringing them to a toy discussionwas a good idea.( maybe Dr. Phil) And when he got offended about comments about personal info HE provided, I just shook my head and kept laughing. Seriously, you don't ask fellow toy collectors those questions, you ask a Psycologist. And I've never been embarassed to buy toys, cause I gave up worrying about others opinion of me years ago.

    His original post should've been:

Do you give a s**t what people think of you when you buy toys?

Would've been much simpler, and not gotten him flamed crispy brown...
