Yes, I'm learning quite a bit about exactly how welcoming this community can be tonight.

These movies are all rated PG-13 and I'm discussing their PG-13 content in a completely PG-13 manner.

So...what's the problem there, exactly?

Completely PG-13 manner wouldn't be digging deeper in every scene to find something sexual that's not there.

We don't make alot of sexual references or jokes. Kids do go on this site and browse forums, since afterall Transformers are for kids. Not every kid who comes across this site is over 13, so PG-13 isn't always a safe excuse.

I'd strongly suggest either cutting it back to something like G, or stopping it completely.

I'm fairly new here myself and have been immensely enjoying this site but I think the movie section just got a bit much for me.

This type of thing is groan worthy simply because it's so obvious to we adults as to be hitting us over the box...AHEM...err, head. But that's Bay's style in a nutshell. Michael obviously knows his audience is crowded with hormone raging tween and teenage boys, who took a break from their X-Box just long enough to rage out over a Transformers movie, and he plays to that. Thankfully his audience isn't just made of that demographic (or we wouldn't be having this conversation), but Bay seems to place his gags strictly in that range on purpose.

Most of it is funny and forgettable in a certain sense- especially the Mom making comments about her own 'box' and even Carly's 'box', but what isn't funny? Devastator having balls just to tickle Bay's inner troglodyte. Sorry, but that just made my eyes roll so far back into my head that it almost induced a migraine!

So I come into this thread expecting something about the intentional "potty humor" in DOTM.

Instead I see what is either a troll or a perverted child making sexual references to almost every little part of the film.

What... the... hell...

 

I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume the OP is single.

 

Really, the only sexualised kinda content for me was the opening panty shot in DOTM 3-D and Soundwave's hostage-taking, the former because it introduces Carly, the latter because it's Soundwave's epic plot twist.

Everything else, such as Devastator's wreckers, was more like potty humour that you shake your head at and move on.

You're probably putting a bit too much insight into this :/
