Picked up a couple Transformers at the Pittsburgh Toy & Collectibles Show this weekend. Got the original Predacons; missing individual weapons and swords, but did have the big gun and all essential pieces for Predaking. Also got an original G1 Blaster. The door didn't work so I took him apart, reset the pieces inside, put him back together and now it opens.
Highs: Wave 2 Classics Minicons! Just need Devy, then it's all over! Lows: Saw Spiderman 3 plushies at Target, but mom said no.
SUPER MEGA LOW: - Just found out that Victoria's family had to put Grounder, their dog and my best buddy, to sleep this evening. He was sick a few weeks ago, lethargic and not really eating, but for the past few weeks he had been back to normal. He was 10 years old, but my Lord he was still frisky and puppy-like. He loved to play, and run around, and was just the best dog I've ever been around. Victoria and I were planning on having him move in with us after we got married... we were all convinced he had another 4 or 5 good years left in him. But it wasn't meant to be. Vic's mom noticed that his urine was red and full of blood the other day. They took him to the vet, and it turned out that he had a nickel sized hole in his colon. Most likely the result of cancer... which is funny, because other than him being sick a few weeks ago there was no sense that anything was wrong. Victoria was, understandably, bawling her eyes out. Grounder was her best friend, and she's stuck at school and couldn't even be there today. RIP Grounder Maxwell Fiorelli.
That's horrible... I'm so sorry. Lows: Having two teeth pulled on Tuesday... Highs: Mom's getting me Energon Omega Supreme and Classics Devastator because of it. Two teeth for Omega Supreme and Devastator isn't so bad.
Sorry about Grounder, Boo. May he rest in peace. Highs: Went to Walmart looking for new Alts but couldn't find anything new so I finally bought the Anakin Yellow Starfighter TF I've been eyeing for weeks. He's cooler than I thought he'd be. Also picked up a SW TAC Stormtrooper concept figure.
