I didn't know the movie was coming out in May...
That's just when you and I will see it.
Hmm...wonder if the Classics line helped any with that...
Good to know I helped a little bit.
Kool....now no excuses for lazy cheap repaints LOL..jk
Abit, but given the results are for the full year, so its probably mostly because of Cybertron.
Probably stating when most of the movie merchandise will start hitting the stores.
That's good news. I know I helped out some with classics and alts. Too bad we couldn't get more waves of classics. Though I am excited about getting more Transformer swag as in hats and shirts and such.
That justifies more experimentation on Hasbro's part....say, citybots...
Who has their VIP pass?
I've helped them out twice. Me with Transformers, and my daughter has almost everything they make for Littlest Pet Shop.
Way to go, Hasbro!
Anyone else suprised at the sheer amount Hasbro made though. I was when I found this at lunch. It would be interesting to see how much Transformers made them compared to say Star Wars. It would then be interesting next year to see how much the percentages changes by this time next year.
Alot of kids and normal people know and like SW, and there are more Star Wars fans and collectors than there are TF fans, so I figure SW does better, even in a quiet year. Fan collectors often ask why they keep releasing Vader, Han Solo, Chewie ect figures, especially repacks of ones they've recently released. Easy, they're cheap to make and people keep outside the SW fandom keep buying them.
2006 was a record for a non-movie year in terms of Hasbro's SW offerings.
Anyone else here an investor? Past years, Hasbro's shares stayed in the twenties, but now it's up to 30 and I don't think it's going to stop considering the hype from the movie. Stocks are too risky for me though
God knows my sons and I have been helping, now they need to repay me by NOT making classics Thundercracker an exclusive...
I agree. Any more word on Thundercracker? I know there were rumors that he would be a Botcon exclusive but I haven't heard anything since then.
EDIT: Oops, just saw the Classics thread. lol
Same here, except for us its my wife's collection of My Little Ponies and my TFs. BTW, is there anywhere a person can see just how well a specific Hasbro toy line is doing financially?
Since you've made so much money off TF collectors, can you make sure to distribute the remaining Alternators properly? You know, so they fill shelves and can get themselves to fans without much complaining. Masterpiece Starscream in cartoon-accurate colors would also be highly appreciated. We fans promise to buy them at $50 rather than wait for clearance.
Thank you very much,
