MP Thundercracker as a botcon exclusive would be f*@$ing hilarious. i just hope the next mold is an autobot. maybe Grimlock or Wheeljack.

 

Maybe I'm being too critical in asking this but how is this "news"? It's simply a picture we've seen before of 3 jets (possibly photoshopped) in a series of pictures where one of them happens to be blue.

Is there any report of the QC on him ? Seeing these pics really make me want to go an buy it (if he's still availaible at a decent price thats is). But after reading that MP-03 is fragile and brittle, I wanted to wait some feeback on Skywarp but these pics and the fact he may be more limited in number is playing on me  

 

no doubt this will be made. why make skywarp and starscream and not release Thundercracker? everything comes in 3s. besides, it would just be a repaint for takaratomy and be a way for them to use the mold without spending more money to make money.

 

What strikes me as interesting about that pic is that Thundercracker's nose cone is painted black, whereas Starscream and Skywarp's noses are the color of their body (even if it's somewhat of a moot point with Skywarp, seeing as he's black all over). It makes him stand out from the other two. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Thundercracker's G1 figure have a black nose?

I don't know what this could mean. If it was some random pic that someone photoshopped for the sake of having all three seekers in the pic, I would be surprised to see that he/she bothered to add that detail. It leads me to believe that MP Thundercracker is in development, and that its color scheme (including black nose cone) has already been decided.

Just my two cents. Agree or disagree, I've been out of the TF loop for awhile so forgive my caffeine-induced craziness.

Am I the only one that harbored some hope that the 3 MP seekers would be slight remolds of the different F-15 variants? I mean, Starscream could be an F-15 ACTIVE seen below in my sig (an advanced research testbed version of the F-15) as befitting his status as leader of the seekers, Skywarp could be a plain air superiority F-15C, and Thundercracker could be an F-15E Strike Eagle (a version of the F-15 with increased ground attack capability). Hmm... perhaps some kitbashing is in order...

 

Pfft, Hasbro can't even manage to release complete Seeker sets with their easily affordable MAIN lines anymore, so I think it's more than a safe bet that there's no way they'll release all 3 of them in Masterpiece format either. If anything, they'll release MP Starscream, maybe make Skywarp a store exclusive in 2 more years, possibly release a bad repaint of Sunstorm as another exclusive a year after that, and then of course never release Thundercracker. Better yet, they'll announce it so we *think* we're getting all of them, then find out after the fact that they cancelled the line.

I'm grateful that Takara seem to know a thing or two about consistency, and more importantly, starting AND completing theme sets.

Nice as it would be to have all 3 seekers in MP format....

I really don't want another repaint. I want a new mold. I've never been a big fan of repaints in general as I like seeing something new, I don't like the idea of buying the same toy I already have just because there is a different name on the box and the colors are different.

I WILL buy 2 Masterpiece Thundercrackers <1 to dispaly 1 to keep sealed>
And for future reference I will also do the same if you are considering Ramjet, Thrust, Dirge & Sunstorm.
And finally, I will buy multiple copies if you make a clone trooper.

 

Me too, it is what I did with MP megatron, and what I plan to do with the Hasbro version of MP starscream.

Thundercracker and starscream are must haves for me, skywarp I can live without.

(wonders if he will end up buying skywarp when he is more expensive down the line and kick himself for it.)

 

Hopefully, more seekers will follow after Skywarp.

 

Well, yeah, it probably is. But the point is it is Photoshopped BY Takara, as an official marketing image, and is printed on the back of Skywarp's box. I'm sure they know that it would fuel fan speculation. It's probably intended as a not-so-subtle "coming next" hint.

Makes me wonder if the Grimlock sticker on MP-4 serves the same purpose....  

 

I sure as hell hope this gets made. The Seekers are the best part of the whole TF universe, IMO.

The closeup of Skywarp looks cool, but I doubt the toy will have that sheen on it--most of the officila Alts and MP pics look the same, and the toys lack the silky finish seen. We can hope though  

 

I'm pretty sure that WAS a pic of an actual production Skywarp, not an "official" picture.

 

Why not Masterpiece POWERGLIDE?

 

Bigger photo for one then we've had before. And second of all, this isn't JUST a NEWS forum, this is the News & RUMORS forum. And this rumor has mild proof due tot he photo, even if it were photoshopped by takaratomy, it was done officially. Besides, we all know how HasTak love repaints.

I for one hope this pans true, I'd love for hasbro to release all 3 of the seekers, and by far, they must have learned after this past botcon, the sheer want of the seekers by fans, even in limited exclusive runs.
