    From Transformers Wikia:

I can slot Sunstreaker's gun on his shoulder easily enough, but what's this malarkey about combining it with his supercharger intakes? I've tried every conceivable method of clipping SS's gun and intakes together, but to no avail. Is the Wikia pulling my leg here?

I agree, which is why I'd like someone to provide a picture of how the accessories clip together - if possible.

Hehe, I think if there were pics this wouldn't be a problem!

Now, by the sounds of the description, it sounds as though the intakes, when folded down, attach to the sides of the gun. I shall check.

Yeah, it doesn't look good or hold on tight.

You have to line it up just right then it clips together tightly. I think it looks good. Beefs up the gun a bit.

    @Zie

You're kidding... that's it? Jesus, I had already done that! I was convinced that's not how they fit together because they fall apart as soon as I tilt the gun. What a crock; someone should rectify that info in the Wikia. ¬_¬

Got it! I find it holds together pretty well, you need to push pretty hard though but when you do there's a slight click as it all snaps into place. Not 100% solid but not bad.

This is how you need to line up the back of the gun with the intakes.

Once they're closed, they grip the back part of the gun.

I lined up the parts as shows in the pics and pressed them together as hard as I could. There are arguably a few 'clicks', but that's mainly the plastic scratching together like crazy. It's even lead to some noticeable wear after a single day. Although sometimes the pieces hold together better than usual, they're still a breeze away from falling apart. I'm not even sure they were intended to go together. Hmmm....

the engine intake also mounts on sideswipe modes back upside down, and becomes his jetpack ;)

Oh snap, THAT's how it's done? Okay, I'll try that again on Monday; he's at my office at the moment.

The raised trapezoidy part of the gun right before the 'muffler'/butt definitely has a corresponding shape on the underside of the intake. And the 'jaws' of the intakes when folded down are too close to the width of the gun to be complete coincidence.

That said..I can't get it to hold together worth a damn either. The intakes don't really clip or lock in the down position and don't exert enough pressure to hold the gun in place as is; one or both gives a little and the gun pops out of position. Sometimes it works better than others, but..yeah..so does balancing a dime on its edge.

It's as if they were working toward this being a documented feature, but couldn't quite nail it so it went unfinished.

I originally wrote the TF Wiki thing about the feature, but I've clarified what needs to be done and how it's not a particularly secure fit.

I followed the instructions here to the letter in hopes that the info would help the gun parts to clip together somewhat stably and properly, and by golly ... nope.
