It's nice to see new pics, but we've already had a full photo gallery of this guy as well as a few vid reviews. I'm not so sure this figure should qualify for the front page unless it's showcasing something we've never seen from SS before. Pics are great, don't get me wrong. The photog did a great job snapping them off and displaying him, but seeing the same figures again and again brought to us by different people isn't earth shaking news.

I might try cutting his hands into the halves they were on the prototype, then drilling corresponding holes for a pin. Unfortunately, you can't do anything about his cannons (which were originally separate and hinged from his arms) :(

The tattoos are based upon his ROTF appearance.

Unfortunate about the cannons, but the hands in jet mode are the thing that bother me most. I look forward to your customization work if you choose to go ahead with it.

Eh? So, the darker color came from...dirt under his nails?

    Bleh.

Don't judge before you see the actual movie.

The short moment in the 1st trailer shows carvings indeed ; but actual carvings in the toy would be too complex on the toy scale so Hasbro did the pattern using dark paint suggesting shaded carvings.

The reason scars ain't molded in is probably because of the repaint potential.

I REALLY like his flight mode. But that robot mode's too crappy for me to want to buy that.

*sigh* Quit torturing me w/ pics...I want this NOW, lol!

that being said, there's still flaws...the feet are too small now. They were fine on version 1.0, why Hasbro had to shrink them, I don't know. And even though Screamer has hands, Hasbro still felt absolutely necessary to place gatling guns on BOTH arms (in RoS SS has gun on left arm and twin blades on right..the damn FAB toy had 'em). Also, the toy looks 'flat' (though that helps create an accurate alt-mode, so I can't detract too much on that).

So, yes, this is a definite buy for me; I just wish that I could get a movie SS figure that was precise to the movie/comics...which is why I'm all for a non-transforming version by Hasbro/Diamond/McFarlane/etc.

I have the same opinion about a non transforming Screamer. Did you see the Robot Replicas SS? I think it's bad ass. I'll be buying that real. I was super disappointed they didn't make one for the first movie.

Just a magnificent and unique transformation. Leagues more advanced than the first.

I actually haven't been following ROTF stuff TOO closely yet (It's already a given I'll be seeing the movie and getting the main characters' toys, so why make too big a deal aobut it now?) But I have checked in on the Optimus Prime Leader class toy and this one, and I must say...I'm impressed. I was somewhat worried that Hasbro would simply rerelease slightly retooled versions of the returning characters in this line, and they've proved me absolutely wrong. Leader Prime is MINE first day. And I will be definately getting Screamer. The first toy had a HUGE amount of undercarrage in vehicle mode, and not only does this one have considerably less, but the robot looks pretty movie accurate too (not as accurate as the new Prime, but close enough...)

A nice update (if you like movie designs) but the "Elephan-bott in the room" is that HIS HANDS STICK OUT THE BACK OF THE PLANE MODE.

    NOT good design.

    Next!
