Is there a picture review of this? I much prefer those.

    Great review.

The cyberjet transformation is certainly popular with Hasbro. Having created the cyberjets for G2, they used the same basic transformation with some additional twists for G2 Smokescreen. G2 Smokescreen then inspired the transformation of Energon Starscream with some more new twists. Cybertron Thundercracker had the cyberjet transformation but added thrusters that rotated in to reveal the feet.

Terradive's transformation is a mixture of all these variations. Basic cyberjet transformation with the thruster/feet transformation now moved to become thruster/hands. New twists to the transformation are the head having to be flipped out and the underside of the nosecone pulling up and over onto the chest.

I'm digging this, but just can't justify a purchase. Maybe I'll bite on a cool repaint. The P-38 is a must buy, however.

I intentionally didn't order this as I'm pressed for space now, and wanted other things this month.

After seeing that review, though... I hope I'm still able to order it next month :)

Given the aircraft mode, I can't help but think this may be repainted and given a new head as HftD Cyclonus, even with leg-wings.

This was my thoughts exactly when I first saw Teradive, I thought it would make a great Movieverse Cyclonus.

Nice review. Toy looks pretty good. I just wish the legs weren't so loose.

Did anyone else notice during transformation, how the black piece with the arms on it has no secondary interconnecting piece to keep people from thinking that the two halves can be rotated separately (and thus b0rked instantly)???

Smokescreen had one. I think Energon screamer had one as well. Theirs were made of the rougher, more durable plastic as well. This one is made of the high-gloss plastic that looks nice but snaps very easily (pin-hinges, anyone?)

Seeing this now, and knowing from experience the strong tendency for this glossy, smooth plastic to break ever so easily, I am therefore not buying this figure. It is essentially made to break.

...pluss, legs that pop off by looking at them wrong is a major turn-off. Engineering is just as important as aesthetics, if not moreso.

The loose legs is a turn off. I wish he was a voyager. I so woulda used him for one of two characters.

Pretty nice review. It was clear, showed us about everything you could and was fairly succinct. Great job but keep in mind most (99.9%) of us don't own Darkmount yet :D

I love this guy's look but the colors stink. I'm waiting for the re-paint.
