They need to repaint this gold/yellow as SunStreaker or Blue as Tracks.If not I'll pass on this mold. I can't see him as a renamed figure like some mentioned (Drift, Inferno, Hot Rod)
Maybe Reprolabel can change my mind?

I want to like this one, but the legs are sickly looking. awful.

 

It's not that I don't think the flames don't fit the character, it's the fact that they look atrocious, horrible, awful, pukeworthy, and appaling. And I wouldn't want to disgrace any other character by assigning them this crappy crappy paint job.

If he's all silver, he's bought. All red, bought. All yellow, blue, green, gold, black, purple. Bought.

Silver with crappy, crappy awful out of place splodgey red shiney flames. Not bought.

(P.S. I really don't like the flames)

I'm making a custom Sideswipe out of him.   ALL SILVER LIKE HE SHOULDA BEEN!

The colouring is kinda weird, but the new mold looks nice. Also props to hasbro for fixing the feet.

 

I'd want this just for the feet It drives me crazy that the previous Sideswipe's can not stand up at all - I agree a movable waist and perhaps having the kibble be removable and clipable to his forarms as scissors would have been nice to retain.

So in general interesting and perhaps more worthile than most Bumblebee's....

If i'm honest though i'd admit that I'd have been more pleased to have a new attempt at a 1970's Bumblebee deluxe using all the things they've learned from developing the concept camero version.

But if they are going to loose the likeness rights for the car to Mattel then I guess they had to rush out this toy or never be able to make it.

Mattel now has the rights the hardtop version of the car (in terms of reproducing its likeness in toy form).

Which is why recent releases (this and the RPM) have been different car models.

That absolutely SUCKS! I loved the hard top on Sideswipe's Alt mode. Now I'm going to have to purchase and mod this bad boy and get some blue in there. I hope Hasbro goes all aggressive corporate and sticks it to Mattel to get the rights back from GM!
