Spent the last ten hours unloading the weekly truck today at Walgreens. Packed in with some NEST stuff was HFTD Brimstone, which means the distribution center has these things and is shipping them out now. Only stateside HFTD sightings I've seen so far are the Deluxes via Kmart, so I figured I'd let everybody know. I should have a pic up later tonight with the receipt.

Also, in b4 "Walgreens prices suck" lol

Hunt for the Decepticons Scout Class Hubcap found at U.S. Retail

Hello everyone, I apologize if this was reported already :)

I was at work today, stocking the toys/Arts&Crafts isle and I came across him on a peg. Usually when whatever deluxe or scout figures are bought, a new one arrives in the store a day after or so. Now I wish someone would just buy deluxe wheelie and alliance Bumblebee already.

Where these figures supposed to be released this early? It surprises me that WalMarts and Targets in my area still do not have What was supposed to be the remainder of the RoTF line, I barely saw anything after the wave with Dirge and Armorhide in it. Tuner Mudflap has taken over every peg now, hundreds of them.

Yeah, but Walgreens doesn't get stuff by the case. They just send us a couple figures every week for deluxe and scout.

And yes, Walgreens' prices on Transformers SUUUUCK!
Deluxes are 14.49 and scouts are 11.49 can you say ridiculous?

This is why I go to work an extra five minutes early and search the entire parking lot for dropped $5 off coupons, that or have my parents buy something there and give one to me . Why are the prices so high anyway? I could understand maybe $12 or even 13 for deluxes but almost $15 and thats without the tax which is 7% where I live? Peh, Walgreens, more like wallet-killers.

    Thanks ;)

I'm hoping for the new deluxes to arrive, and following them the leaders will arrive soon after. Hubcap I'm picking up tomorrow morning when I go back to work.

A Long Long Time Ago, in a Galaxy Far Far Away...I used to be a general store manager for a chain that is just like Walgreen's. I would bet that their distribution is similar to how it worked for my former employer. I would get these items based on an auto-replenishment system. If only a few items were determined to be needed then the items that the computers deemed my store needed were split from a case at the main distribution point and shipped in a platic Tote like box.

How'd I do Dinobot Nuva, is that pretty close?

The store's systems keep track of what we sell and how much of it we sold for a week and stuff is shipped to the store every week. With the exception of some food and some house hold products, about 99% of the items we receive from the truck come in plastic containers that we empty and send back for next week. In this case, the store knew we'd sold some TFs and sent us new ones. Since Walgreens is so small we don't have enough room on the pegs for even a full case of these guys.

EDIT- Techno posted while I did, yeah you nailed it!

    Ok, makes perfect sense now.
Gonna have to check a few Wal-greens tomorrow. They've been pretty good. Found the first Rotf scouts, the last wave of animated activators and the wheelie wave of rotf legends .

And that answers the question of cost as well
large retailers get discounts for ordering so much of a given product
since these drug stores can't even handle case they probably pay a much higher base price per unit

Nice find, but the price yikes, unless they turn out to be super impossible to find later on I wouldn't pay this.

I guess those stores make up for volume by hiking the price on each individual sale.
