I got Breacher earlier in the week, another great scout class bot. I love how complex his transformation is - he reminds me of Universe Onslaught, except I think Breacher's transformation is better and the vehicle is more solid. Nice head sculpt and articulation. I was a little bit disappointed that he doesn't interact that much with Seaspray though - I think the fault is really with Seaspray. Breacher has a couple of opportunities to interact well with him, but there's really no connectors that allow him to do so. Sure, he fits in the cargo bay, and he looks good in there, the right proportion and color, but unless you rotate Seaspray's fans in a bit, Breacher doesn't stay in place. I'm thinking of trying to bash something allowing for connectivity between the two - in vehicle mode the very beginning of the cargo bay on Seaspray has a white cowling (covering the robot head) and there is a tab there. On Breacher, the little tab at the front of the APV can fold out in vehicle mode, but it doesn't connect to anything on Seaspray. I'm thinking that may be the way to get them to lock together. On his own, though, Breacher is tops. Maybe behind Brimstone and Ransack for most beloved scout class for me. Tim "toy geek"
I think Breacher has an awesome transformation (especially for a Scout), but he feels a bit cheap because he features so many small moving parts. We're far from the thick and glossy plastic of say, Breakdown.
Heh, not got mine yet, but when I do I'll add some red to his robot mode, and repaint Rollbar into Optimus Colours to give me Optimus and Ultra Magnus. Oooh. An army of scout class transformers...
got mine from an ebay seller delivered today..cost $99 cents plus 6 shipping...gotta say he is pretty neat...don't really see any combined play with seaspray...since there are no common connecting points..but whatever...still like him...I would love to see this guy repainted red and called warpath.
That head of his reminds me of something that would've come out on the Galaxy Force/Cybertron line. I love it.
Awesome little guy, he poses well. But how I wish his waist can clip better, but that is only a minor quibble...
Really need to find that little guy. He looks awesome. Now I have to decide if he is going to be Seaspray's little buddy or Brawn's little buddy.
TCracker you missed a step in the transformation (asuming you didn't do it intentionally). The front lip of the vehicle actually flips out to cover the white bits in the waist, and adds in holding him together. Hopefully that helps!
Picked him up today and the first thing I noticed was how absurdedly tight his joints where. So much so that the right shoulder ball joint housing is stressed.
Even as good as the scouts have been recently, this guy looks bloody brilliant. There is something of Universe Onslaught about him in robot mode, with the exception of the head sculpt, of course.
