You sorta got it figured out. We can't actually check specific figures unless we pull or open a case (or check the open stock if there is any, but that's a bit more time consuming than they like, one of the reasons we aren't supposed to pull for collector's or for specific figures) because the figures are tied into the dpci for the line not as an individual figure. So we don't have a different number for each and every figure.

However, HftD/RtS and Generations have separate dpcis as such Generations coming up as discontinued would not be due to the other line doing the same, they are separate in our system (and further separated by size class).

We should probably merge discount target threads...

Anyway at first I thought Gens would continue, but with Prime toys coming after the movie I bet the line will relaunch under yet another subtitle in 2012.
Probably with new BW figures, Marvel/IDW figures, WFC figures, and tons of surprise stuff nobody will be ready for.
For example I bet we get a new deluxe Waspinator and even a deluxe G1 style Shockwave.

Thanks for clearing that up NGW, i've been wondering how that works.
I was hoping Generations wasn't listed separate, so now i'm worried we won't see that line pick up till after the movie. I'd be happily surprised if it ran during movie toys and upcoming TF Prime line, but i doubt it. The latter i'm sure they're heavy in R&D atm.

That's the same way it is at TRU. There isn't individual SKN's for each figure, just by series. So you couldn't ask if there is anymore of one figure in the back, as it's by case.

    No problem!

My store hasn't received ANY HFTD or RTS in a long time. Nothing. If we had, I'd be saying I hope they go on clearance soon. That said, I don't think they would anyways....seeing as how we still have Revenge of the Fallen figures NOT on clearance.

Well, we might want to cut Hasbro a little slack. If all the retailers want is the movie stuff because movie tie-in toys SELL REALLY FAST (Why, just look at how fast Tron stuff flew off the pegs! :rolleyes2 ), Hasbro isn't going to produce non-movie stuff that retailers won't buy just to let it take up space in a warehouse.

The interesting part is the two targets I've been to that still has generations figures on the shelf, didn't have those marked for clearance. Perhaps they were missed when everything was tagged?

Did anyone REALLY expect Generations to continue when Hasbro said they would? They said the same thing with Animated and Universe when ROTF came out.

You mean like the ROTS and HFTD STILL on pegs kinda fast? If anything sold fast,Generations and RTS sold faster than movie toys except the well known characters from the line like Prime or Bumblebee and that slowed by the second movie. The Classics sell way faster when they even get them in. Wal-Mart and Target just have zombie monkeys running there toy/purchasing departments. Ask one for a specific toy, you'll see. :D

Nothing of the sorts was ever said about Universe, and with Animated it was clear that at that time it's continuation was uncertain, and it was more of a "if they could continue it, they would" sort of thing.

No way... Reveal the Shield and Generations discontinued?

Guess I better try and go shopping sometime this week to see if I can't find the RTS and Generations figures I'm still looking for, otherwise I might have to start hitting up the online stores for them before they all completely disappear.

Well, I'm all caught up on my recent stuff. Maybe, just maybe Wal-Mart will start discounted all the earlier stuff that's still on the shelves and I can pick up an Elita-1...

Is it really a surprise Generations is ending. Have there been any additional figures known that are past the Warpath wave? Any future case assortments known I haven't seen anything.
