made from a butchered rotf scout class hubcap.
with each time i revisited this mold(4th one now),i found more and more places that i could remove plastic from, yet still somewhat making it work/flow.
he's had his side exhaust pipes removed,
    headlights,front bumper,rear bumper,side mirrors,front fenders,door handles and trunk handle removed.
his rear wheel wheels have been shaved a millimeter and a half in order to fit the new hotwheels set while being able to spin freely.
while i was removing all the excess plastic, the more i removed, the more it started to resemble the front end of a plymouth prowler.that explains why i chose the new headlights, which are hand cut vinyl, along with the new taillights and windows and side flames.

Your work just keeps getting better and better. Any chance you can make a top down version?

    Thanks for sharing your work.

Looks great, kinda makes me wanna pick up the mold. You should peg on a motor block to the front though.

thanks, and yeah, this mold has so many fun possibilities!!!

    thanks for the comment!!
i actually did consider cutting the back roof off of "trip-up",but then decided against it bacause in car mode, you would literally have his bot mode butt sticking out and up:lol .i ended up just making it look like a rag top that was up.

    thanks!!
i wanted to do that to all of them, but because of where 2 certain holes were made for combination,it eliminated the hood mounted engine on two of them.
i ended up not going for their iconic exposed engine tops.(but nothing is ever final:wink: )

"And chansformers drains another 3-pointer! This guy is on fire!"

Sorry, but I had to channel a little bit of Marv Albert there :)

Great work, man; this is especially nicely done :thumb

Awesome. I love hot rod transformers. The funny thing is I havent' really thought about modding this guy. but I love how the description of the mods you made could match up 1:1 for the real deal. Looking forward to more.
can we see a group shot of all four you mentioned?

    Randy!

i've got a handful of Hubcaps in pieces, waiting to do a similar project. thank you for paving the way, so i can see what i can do and can't. I too, thought of the convertible thing, and realized the same thing.

Great job!! group shot as soon as you can, my man!

I too see the Prowler vibe.

Looks like another winner to me....true old school here....skinnies up front, fatties out back, open header...all the goodies.

    Love it man :thumb
