Just got this guy in today, and he's fairly nifty. His alt mode is an armored missile tank:

The turret is able to rotate 360 degrees, but only has access to 180 in vehicle mode due to how the cab sits on the front:

The missiles themselves are rather long, party due to choking regulations, partly so that they can remain fireable in vehicle mode. They aren't spring loaded, they feature a ball-and-socket friction firing method similar to the G2 Cyberjets:

However, they REALLY stick out in robot mode:

But hey! You can see how the missile racks have the universal clip-on points that allow for the use of the Recon Ironhide/Darkmount/Skystalker/etc. weapons. I've had a few people ask about storing the missiles in robot mode. You can certainly leave the missile racks in their vehicle mode position. The launchers look a little silly sticking up over the shoulders, but just rotate the whole launcher assembly around and it's not too bad:

Transformation isn't too tough, just unfolding the limbs and rotating the turret for the most part. The way the head/neck/shoulder area collapses together is kind of neat:

And once he's done, you've got a squat little brute of a figure:

Poseability is good, lots of ball joints and other cleverly placed hinges. Guy's got LOADS of personality:

He's listed as Deluxe Ironhide's nemesis, so they have to fight at some point!

Overall, it's not the first toy I'd go after in the HFTD line, but it's still pretty damn appealing.

    PROS:
    - Neat vehicle mode
    - Distinctive character
    - Has universal clip on points for using Recon Ironhide/Darkmount/Skystalker weapons

    CONS:
    - A little on the short side
    - Arm design is a little weak
    - Missiles are crazy long in robot mode

Thanks Peaugh! I am digging him :thumb
As always, your reviews are the ones that let me decide whether to get a figure or not and I am definitely getting this one :D

This is one of the few Hunt figures that I actually like, but just can't figure out where the hell he fits into my collection. Been trying to limit myself to on-screen characters for the movie bots, but this squatty bitch sure looks tough. Those missles sure do look goofy sticking out the back though. Thanks for the review, this guy is gonna be tough for me to pass on.

Just think of him as a protoform who found a SAM launcher and rescued himself from genericity. :D

The missiles sticking out of the back issue, which was the only gripe I had with this guy, doesn't look as bad here. He does look a little short, but I don't mind. I'll definitely be picking him up.

I love his head so much! The piercing red eyes and the small mouth along with the design looks great. Definately getting him...

I like him. If I pick him up, those missiles are definitely getting chopped down.

Wow, he looks a LOT better than the earlier listing pictures made him look in my opinion. The head/chest areas look a whole lot less movie-ish clustermucked that I thought, although he doesn't look a whole lot like G2 Mindset from those pics (not like I really care, honestly since that guy died within 5 minutes of his introduction as it is). The missiles being rediculously long do present a problem in terms of displaying him, so I have to ask: can the missile launcher be folded up in robot mode so the missile length is contained inside the vehicle mode kibble on his back?

Looks like a bad boy. They should repaint this in Beast Convoy colors.

Hailstorm looks nice... but I need to see more pictures... can its hands open ?how weak is the arm ? ball joint shoulders right?

Looks to me the weapon pack in the back can be customized to be anything else... that is kind of cool...

You know, he could fit in with the Classicsverse guys - as one of Darkmount/Straxus' crew.

he's too ape-ish for my tastes, but looks like he was well thought out to be a partner with movieverse Brawl.
