I'm going to keep both. I'l repurpose the RTS Fallen as an Ancient Prime. But has anyone actually swapped the part with any previous version of the Fallen Mold?

I don't think you can. RTS Fallen has a remolded head that's got some more articulation and the removeable face. ROTF Fallen doesn't have head articulation period. Instead, he's got that stupid "energy absorbtion panel" gimmick that makes head articulation pointless.

Sorry, but the only way it could be done is with some SEVERE modifications, and you'd have to sacrifice the HftD Fallen because the original head will not go on it.

The reason for this is that the original Fallen's head in on a single rotational joint that's spring loaded to keep it closed. Now, this rotational joint is located right behind the "goatee" on the face and is only held by two points on the body and the light piping behind the faceplate. The body points stradle the giant groopve behind his head where the "energy panels" go along with a large tab that stops the head from going to far back on the spring when the energy panels are deployed.

Now, I have not seen the area behind the new head on HftD Fallen, but I'm betting it was greatly changed to accomidate a ball joint, and the light piping reduced so that the face could be removed to reveal an inner face.

The engineering behind the two figures is just too radically different for there to be any compatability. It would be easier to just repaint the the upper core of the HftD Fallen and partswap everything else from original Fallen onto the HftD Fallen. That's the only possible way I can see of getting a movie-colored Fallen with the new head (and staff).

I wish it was more movie accurate in with it's colors. The only thing preventing me from buying is it's Booberry cereal appearance.

No worries, I got you covered.

I'm quite looking forward to getting my paws on this guy, the colours do not bother me at all. I think I prefer them actually.

I've never repainted/customized before, I don't think i could. I really want to, but i'm a paranoid that i'l fail and ruin the Fallen.

I have both right in front of me and I see no reason why the heads and hands can't be swapped. The groove behind the head is the same on both version. You would have to remove the whole head assembly at the pin and just switch them. Same goes for the hands. The only difference I can see in the upper torso is the grooves added for the staff in vehicle mode.

I'll be using the blue Fallen as one of the Primes and keeping the original version as, er, himself.

How much time does the Head Job take and second can you use the Black Fallen's face in place of the Ripoff able face?

Thanks for the tips. :thumb  great custom work.
