From my toy owning experience, unless you're dealing with LEGO or Neca, you're pretty much screwed when it comes to replacement parts or replacements in general.

Your best bet is to return it to the store and get a new one. If they don't have any, then ask for your money back or get store credit.

From what I've noticed within the past 2 months, I have seen quite a few Ironhides which still can be found at Wal-Marts and ToysRus stores. He doesn't seem to be as greatly desired here as say other Voyager-class figures like Optimus Prime, Megatron, Thundercracker, Rescue Ratchet, Ratchet, and Generation One Starscream.
I can still find Voyager Starscreams, Ironhides, and Blackouts around here if I know which stores to go to (which I do).

    Good luck with the replacement.

I would suggest checking Walmart for a new one, since they seem to be getting cases of the older assortments. You can buy a new one then return the broken one since it was probably structurally weak. These toys are meant for little kids to throw and they shouldn't break from you transforming it.

Buy another Ironhide. Open new Ironhide. Put old Ironhide in box.

Return boxed old one to Walmart. Since you'll have a receipt, they have to take it.

Mine broke in the same place, but I've played with him a lot. I used rubber cement to glue the windshield back onto that piece behind his head and it's held fine so far.

Or put an old Gobot back in it :lol
WM will take anything. Could probably put a McDonalds toy in there.

Then we'll see a thread in a few days saying "Hey I bought an Ironhide and some asshole put a Buzz Lightyear in it" :lol

If you broke it during transformation, I can totally see that. I don't see why the retailer or Hasbro should refund anything for something you broke. Though if I were Hasbro I'd be in the business of selling replacement parts of easily-installed pieces and make them 60% of the price of a new toy. :D
