Heron catches rabbit: Dramatic photos - Telegraph
Well... that's odd.
Needs more Marty Stouffer.
Nature is a meanie.
It actually used water to drown it?
Do herons usually do that with prey?
Also, Im amazed it could even eat that rabbit, I wouldve thought it would choke it.

Apparently so is Pokemon.
I want to see a Pikachu drown another Pikachu.
better yet...can we replace the Rabbit in the photo's with a Picachu?
Who's on top of this?
Now that actually made me laugh. That Heron did well to catch that!
anyone else disturbed a little by the fact the rabbit screamed?
Yeah, I read that and went
I saw a pelican eat a cat once. Or I guess it didn't eat it, but it managed to scoop it up and take off with it, which I think is pretty impressive by itself.
Yeah, rabbits are a lot like lobsters in that sense.
You should hear 'em when they get thrown into a pot of boiling water head first.
When I read the title in the paper this morning I thought it was about rabbits getting heroin.
Imagine my disappointment as that would have made a better story.
Still, it'll teach me to not skim through the titles and instead use the free paper to beat the person in front of me on the packed tube so I can actually have some space.
You ever shoot a rabbit but not quite finish it off with the first shot?
It's a sound that doesn't easily leave you.
so do I
Poor widdle bunny wabbit
This thread got very sad. Good work, team.
Circle of life stuff right there.
And yes to Jux's notion about the rabbit scream. Last time I heard one I thought it was a neighbor child being attacked. I ran outside to see a dog attacking a rabbit it had caught in our front yard.
Nature is truely disturbing.
this one below involves a pelican and a pigeon.
YouTube - Pelican eats bird
wow.. never thought I'd see that lol
poor bunny. that's life I guess when you're food. Though I thought it was neat to see how "humane" (couldn't think of a better word) the heron was, to kill the rabbit first, before it ate it.
unlike that stupid pelican, who decided to eat a pigeon while it's still alive, I think that one had some broken head meat.
