hello TFW2005, here are some pics of my G1 collection.

My aim to to complete US G1 from 1984 to 1989, all either MIB or MOC. I'm also aiming to complete the Micromaster portion of 1990 (ie: don't plan to collect the ActionMasters).

Where Japanese exclusives are concerned, I hope to collect them all in MIB condition.

Enjoy viewing. I would love to hear any comments or thoughts you may have.

    Cheers,
    ~ HD

One of the most important pieces to me - G1 MIB Megatron with unbroken foam and unused paperworks.

Another of my prized pieces - G1 pre-rub Skywarp MIB with bubble insert (so difficult to obtain in 1999).

exccellent, reminds me off my own collection. I have a similer goal as you but I dont want actionmasters, and pretenders.

I go for mint pieces with all inserts/bubble and all that crap, I have about 36 items left to get...To get some items with their insert bubbles is a really big pain in the ass.

    keep upp the good work

Amazing stuff you got there. I really like how you have the plexy glass display shelfs.

Thanks everyone for the kind words.

Rooms full actually. The TFs are actually spilt between 3 different countries (ie: some here some there, just didn't manage to bring them all under the same roof). That's why the photos are still a little haphazard at the moment.

I only have one each of C-114 and C-311. I'm planning to buy a US Fort Max to complete the Maximii series (ie: US box Fort Max, C-114, C-311, Jap box Brave Max and Korean box Brave Max), but is putting that plan on hold for the moment to find a Galaxy Shuttle for my wife's birthday present.

Personally, I think you'd sleep a lot easier if you decided not to collect the pretenders. The 1989 Pretenders are especially painful to find complete or even find at all (not that they are very expensive, but there's just no one selling).

I had to spill rivers of ink before I convinced a UK lady (she was very kind) to sell me her MIB Vroom...

I'm not into bubble inserts that much, if they come with the MIB figure, I'd be happy, but if not, I'm wouldn't be too upset. I'd imagine it being very very difficult to find a Targetmaster Scourge and/or Doubledealer bubble? :D

    Thanks sir!

I like the glass displays too. I think it brings out the best in G1 TFs. I just can't leave the lights on for too long or else the toys will get heated up and all sorts of nasty things might happen.

hey Dan. I love the collection, but its literally all over the place. The photos are from Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. Most of my '84 to '86 toys are in SG, then the later stuff from '87 to '89 are in SYD/HK.... sign.

I plan to get them all under one roof sometime in mid 2011 where they will be congregated into a large room dedicated to just TFs (fingers crossed).

Great collection, keep it up. I wish that takara would re-issue that fortress maximus with the god sword, they have the mold from car robots a decade ago.

Yah I know that is one of the aspects of not collecting the pretenders plus I think most of them are not very good. But I did own a few actually as a kid.

I know one member here has I think all of them MISB/MIB and hade pictures taken of them but I do not remember what member.

YEah the bubbles are the nightmare........but oh well the hunt is half the battle and yes Doubledealer is just not even funny. I think I have seen one not counting the sealed ones and so on. One day ;)

I think the 1988 'standard pretenders' (ie: Landmine, Skullgrin and co, 12 in total) are nice figures. The 1989 'junior pretenders' (Bludgeon et al) are still pretty decent. But with later evolutions, the inner robots just got too tiny and the transformations a lot less imaginative.

Agree with godbomber that bubbleformer is a good place to get repro bubbles. Kevin doesn't have bubbles for all TFs though.

Thanks. It was MISB till I opened it for inspection.

    Thanks!
