Hey guys, I'm thinking about selling my MOSC Heroes of Cybertron set. I have all of the regular wave releases (30 in all) plus the Botcon exclusive Sunstorm. All the cards are c9+.

My question is, what do you guys think the whole set is worth?

As cool as they look on my desk, and despite how much I paid for the ones I have they're not really worth much. I'd be lucky to get $20 bucks for the 8 I have. Though I will say mine arent MOSC.

That's one reason I'm glad I never opened them.

Last year, I saw a full MOSC set go for a little under $300. You see some, like Arcee, Omega Supreme, Devastator, and for some reason Dirge go for $10 or more each. Powermaster Prime can get way expensive, but you never see him on Ebay.

I don't think they're worth that much now, but I just wanted to get some more input before I throw an asking price out there.

I'd say $300 would be a safe starting price. I saw the Metroplex series go for $100 by itself a couple weeks ago. That and you could retire on that Sunstorm alone.

I didn't think the Sunstorm was worth all that much, considering it was a Botcon exclusive. I think I paid like $25 shipped for it when it came out.

I think he's calmed down lately, but I remember for a while he was being bid up to about $100 MOC. Right now all the ones I've seen on ebay are AFA'd though.

I know Ebay prices are inconsistent as hell. But that's really the only way to judge the value of these things.

I saw a 20 dollar BIN Sunstorm still on card on eBay a while ago

Anyway, I have to get that one and all of the last wave but Ratchet to complete my set, if you ever feel like selling some separately let me know.

I definitly won't be splitting it up. It's all or nothing. Just because I know I would get stuck with some like I did when I sold my Energon collection seperatly.

That was yours? I was eyeballing that auction. What did it go for, like $40?

$300 is alot, especially to come up with at once, but I'd definitely be interested in your entire set, once you settle on a price.

    PM me.

Dirge is expensive because he was a chase figure in Japan, so I imagine you have not only HOC collectors but also people who collect the Japanese line buying him to fill theirs out by subbing the US version for the chase.

TOTALLY flabbergasted by Arcee though. She was singularly responsible for me not being able to find anything past wave 2 in HOC at retail. I can't recall a worse peg warmer ever in all my years of collecting. Every time I'd go into Walgreens or Hot Topic there would literally be 8 Arcees on the pegs every time and nothing else.
